- Today i was testing out the Rapala Husky Jerk, Anyone who knows me knows that i am definitely not a fan of Rapala lures although today it was a saving grace.

Rapala Super Shad’s are a trophy catching classic (one of the classics). I’ve caught some of my largest bass on them. And the Rapala X-Raps! STRAIGHT MONEY! I just caught a 41 inch Spotted Musky on the X-Rap Jointed Shad (Hot Head color).
Yup, I outfished my bud using a rapala husky jerk against his megabass jerk, lol. Think it was a different color and sound. Just have to make sure they suspend!

I love the deep husky jerk. Things a beast. Caught 5 last weekend on it. Went home and ordered a bunch. Perch color was great for me in Massachusetts
Heck yea, they’re definitely seasonal here in ky but can catch all year on them if that makes sense lol

i am looking foward to try my 3 rapala husky jerks in the river.i never tried it but they say the sm keitech swimbaits work well in cold water with a jighead.

i never caught shit in winter time on plastics but i got a few on a lipless a few times but only in the sm lake and only in 1 spot. same with spinnerbait.99% i use wacky rigs or ned rig these days..
