First time I saw him he had Danny Gatton on guitar at The Berkeley Square in Berkeley Ca. Must of been around 1979-80 or so. What a night...they tore the place down.
@@petemccarry2326 Yup...by one of my best friends...he rolled a cassette on every band that came in there. I got a copy a few days after the show...it was years and years before the master was sold to Danny's mother and the record was made.
I asked a pretty girl for a dance at a party in 1980 listening to a Robert Gordon record. The song was Red Hot. We became good friends after that. Thanks Robert Gordon !
What a fantastic voice and presence.Much as I like Chris Spedding,Link Wray owns this track-their two albums together are absolute rock and roll masterpieces.

I saw RG when he performed at an outdoor venue at UMass in Spring 1982. It was a blast; one of the best one-man shows I'd ever seen.

I had Red Hot on my answering machine.
I think a part of what held Robert back was a lack of original material.

Une captation pour l'émission Chorus d'Antoine de Caunes sur Antenne 2 ? Chris Spedding essaie des trucs dingues avec sa guitare.
