    I've been looking at this tv quite a bit, i'm from the UK. I'm well aware of the fact it's not the same as the US model equivalent. Just that's gotten really cheap here and i'm wondering if it would do a decent job of dark room performance. Not expecting miracles. I game a lot, watch anime and tv shows just as much. I'm wondering for £500 is this a decent tv?

    It’s still impressive panel 😊
    2020 top 3 tiers of Samsung QLED panels , 3rd one was IPS -Q70T $800 USD (ON SALE , normally about $$1000 or something )- 55” (i almost bought it ) identical Specs to this one !
    This one is 2022 model Hisense already have huge improvements in color n has HDMI 2.1
    It’s also comparing to Samsung 2021 QN85A (IPS ) performance !!!-- 2nd highest tier
    It’s NOT BAD panel .
    Hisense U8HQ model It’s like BMW X3 , X4 ,,, U8H is like BMW X5 X6 …. Aus has such small population n shipping parts n set up shop wear house 🏠 for population (Equal 1 City in China -- Shanghai ) is EXTREMELY Unproductive when huge import tax ! In USA there is NAFTA trade agreement between US, Canada 🇨🇦, Mexico 🇲🇽. So Canada can benifit d cheap labor from Mexico also d Massive bull order n shipping system thats setuo .
    In Business school 🏫-- “IF u make product too premium in NEW Market, u will have to charge higher price ! So making it too premium will lead higher price , no one knows d brand ENOUGH to buy Premium product . But they will test on decent tier n decent price . Consumers want premium, go -- straight to their fav brand ! Do not release Premium Product to new Market when entering . But Low price n medium price items !
    If u sell top American Truck to Japan 🇯🇵 they will still chose their own NIsan Toyota truck 🛻. Not ford or GM ! So if Ford or GM ever want to go to Japan 🇯🇵, sell their mid -low range with low price ! Same with Japanese/Korean go to USA 🇺🇸!
    Thanks for d read eveyone , this TV is literally International Business class , Marketing L1 L2 … so interesting 🤔 see that is d Exact d platform big companies very carefully approach .
    Just hang in there . More Premium stuff will come !

    • @Jezhumberston
      @Jezhumberston Год назад +5

      Be warned, most of the good reviews for the U8H are for the USA version. That particular TV is good as it has a VA panel and over 500 local dimming zones. You can identify the USA version as it has a pair of adjustable height legs. The UK version and most probably the European version, has a single metal stand. This TV is nothing like the USA version. It has an inferior IPS panel with only 180 local dimming zones. IPS panels are notorious for blooming issues and shouldn't be in any good LED TV. Also the audio spec has been dumbed down too. A decent mini led TV should have a minimum of 500 local dimming zones to be effective, the really good ones have a 1000+. I bought one, stupidly taking the USA reviews into account. Dreadful TV.. awful blooming, a terrible satellite TV interface that was at best unusable, issues with the eArc with stuttering and glitching sound, worst problem was the motion.. no matter what settings were used and even after a factory reset, the frames would stutter after every change of shot watching HD and 4K content. Very noticeable and ruined the whole viewing experience.

  • @Jezhumberston
    @Jezhumberston 2 года назад +15

    Bought this only to discover it's a dumb downed lower quality version of the well rated USA version... swapped a good VA panel for an IPS panel and reduced the local dimming zones down from 500 to 180. The sound system is also lower spec. Selling in the UK for more than the far better US version. Sent mine back after a few days, awful motion issues no matter what settings are on and off, terrible satellite tuning that took over 10 minutes, awful eArc sound with stutters and cracks, terrible blooming. The motion issues involved a bad frame stutter every time the camera shot changed on screen. What Hifi have slated it for the awful motion issues.

      @@matthewsmith22 I am a gamer, I tend to play the same game daily, it has a yellow heavy HUD which tends to be a pain with OLEDs. Couldn't afford the risk of screen burn. The LG G2 was tempting as it comes with an LG 5 year screen burn warranty. Checked them out at a showroom, asked to have football played on the LG and there were motion issues/ghosting. OLED TVs can have issues with football.. I watch a lot of football. The Samsung Neo QLED looked great with football playing plus the gaming side ticked all my boxes (have an Xbox Series X) so 120hz gaming is covered.
