I didn't have to put the Ampero II into firmware mode to do the update. Firstly I downloaded the firmware updater zip, then I opened the editor (V 1.0.1), then switched on the Ampero II. The editor then popped up a dialog box asking if I wanted to update the firmware. Easy as that!
Thanks for such a quick a direct video. I'm currently in the process of getting away from my old beat up stompboxes and I'm really impressed with the Ampero II out of the box. Can't wait to dig into it and see what I can make it do!

Do I have to sequentially go through every update on the Hotone site? Or will the latest update I select include everything from before? Also, how do I know the patch / update release dates? If I have to select them manually. Thank you
I can’t get the editor to recognize the ampero. I tried different usb to usb-c cables the versions are 1.3.0 and editor is 1.3.0.I deleted redownloaded several times.Any Ideas? Thanks
Solved!!! Open ampero and editor , MIDI IN SOURCE set to MIXED (in pedal's GLOBAL settings), launch Hotone_USB ASIO Driver_V5.41.2_Setup and MIRACLE !!!
I tried to update the firmware but the device got stuck on the firmware update screen. No matter how many times I switched on and off the device, it still didn’t get out of that screen . Any idea how solve this issue? Thanks
From Hotone service Generally speaking,it is caused by not completing the update. You can ask him to try update again. Also try another USB cable and USB interface and another computer. Sometimes using USB hub will also cause the problem.
Update to Ampero II Stomp 1.2.0 failed here and it doesn't connect to PC or MAC anymore. I tried several times to do the factory reset (holding the 3 buttons at the same time and trying to connect it via USB again but nothing happens. Ampero stays on the update "black screen" waiting to be updated. Do you know any other way to hard reseting it without the need of a PC / Mac (like a factory hard reset)?
Help! My Ampero 2 imply stopped working. Tried to use the updated firmare and the issue remains. It just goes to black screen and get stuck there. My new Ampero Stomp does not opens its editor. It says the device is not connected, although it is. Tried several tutorial, firmware and editor versions, besides the so-called "Solution" the suggest. Still not working. The device works normally, trhough. Just doesn't connect tyo the PC. Already tried different ports, cales etc. Any ideas! Best regards!

Funny - this is the 3rd video I have seen on this process, and none of them work for me. I am not a novice. It simply does not load the firmware when I select it. Time to move on from this device.

Hotone Customer Service" The problem here is that I bought it through amazon in November and at this point I'm sure that I don't have a current guarantee

I don’t think you’ll need to do that. You should be able to just update.

That's a strange one. You might consider reaching out to Hotone on that.

I would contact Hotone directly about that. Sounds like a faulty unit.

I can’t get the ampero II editor to work with my ampero. Update worked but the editor doesn’t come up to edit and whatnot. Dunno why

Did you install the Hotone audio driver? I've had the same issue until I did that. Now it works like a charm.

Know if the ampero ever got a looper update to give it memory it's lack of memory is the number one reason I'm turned off from the ampero.
