The Rev recorded a demo of this song towards the end of his life when he was very ill. They kept as much of his vocals as they could, so what you hear towards the end there is him struggling to sing through his illness. The demo was handed in 3 days before his death.
This was the last song Jimmy wrote and gave the band a few days before he passed away the 28th 2009. This was Jimmy's goodbye letter. Late in the song when Jimmy singing I think he imitates Matt when he goes a little nasal. Maybe he sang some of his parts and Matt's parts, like demo stuff, before he handed the song in, just speculation.
The one who sing "i hope it's worth it..... I know you'll find your own way when I'm not with you" was THE REV. He knew their friends can Find their way and move on after he left😢
