Loxodon Warhammer or Basilisk Collar to win 6 life every Ruric trigger. Springleaf Drum or Cultivator's Caravan for Ramp or tap Ruric if its needed. Pelakka Wurm, Obstinate Baloth, Sifter Wurm, Arborback Stomper or Thragtusk to mitigate the life lost of Ruric. Gratuitous Violence or Angrath's Marauders for be the target of everyone on the table :) Possibility of Storm ¡Brilliant!
Just built this guy my first gruul commander. Found Vexing Shusher,Rahdha Heir to keld, mina and denn wildborn, spellbreaker behemoth, anger,Gruul Ragebeast,Archtype of agression. to be absolute all stars
Should add drumhunter and somberwold sage both do good things ramp wise and drumhunter can give card advantage aslong as yoy control a creature with 5 power or more
I would also recommend price of glory. Gives them the option to still play spells on other players turns, but they’re going to have to be desperate to do so.
If you are playing Ruric Thar as your commander then Grafted Exoskeleton should already be a staple. Since all damage is dealt by Ruric Thar then it will be done in the form of Infect... aka if you cast more than 1 non-creature spell you lose. Yes it is a card that goes away from the main idea of the deck, but when it is only a 4 drop a puts that much pressure on every opponent and only needs one slot in your deck. It acts the same way Craterhoof Behemoth does for token deck... if you see that card hit the battlefield you possibly already lost if it can be equipped to Ruric Thar.
The deck seems too heavy on green we need more red cards; and here's why. This deck seems a little too much hating on spell control and combo, while ignoring the other archetypes, and on creature removal especially. If you run into a black deck with sac triggers like Butcher of Malakir, what can you do? And how do you deal with indestructible creatures walling you? Or that hate-bear effect like Archangel of Tithes? Voltron? You only have the one fight-creature and decimate. Red has a couple options like burn from within, hour of devastation, and aftershock to name a few. Now you're able to build the board state you've dreamed of.
But what this deck needs is sweepers; mass threaten effects like: mob rule, and insurrection, with some sacrifice outlets like: greater good, evolutionary leap, and goblin bombardment. Its a board wipe, a win con, a dastardly scheme, lose some friends and win some games, as long as you can deal with their annoying board locks. Or Clan Defiance, a modal wipe for air, ground, or player elimination (burn). World Breaker seems like an all star, shore's up anti-air problem, deals with Darksteel/Blightsteel stuff, kills Theros gods, recurs itself, tutor-able, and colorless blocks intimidate and fear.
Love your deck techs but you have way too many noncreature spells for my taste. Not fitting the theme. You'll take lots of damage late game for no reason.

But where's Primal Surge?

take out those instants and sorceries and put in primal surge
Matt Jones and then you lull yourself by running out of a library
Brandon Butterfield Primal Surge says may, so you can stop whenever you want
ok, nevermind. my bad
Perfect timing, I just started building this deck :)

If you are running Savage Ventmaw, why not also run Aggravated Assault? Its a great win-con
Why are there so many non creature cards
Voidmage Gamer drinking game: take a shot every time Possibility Storm is mentioned or alluded to
Great deck tech as always one thing I would add is a rubblehulk cuase I love blood rush ability to bad there are only 3 good creatures that have it
Of course, blood rush is pretty underrated. Glad you liked it!
Grafted Exoskeleton make Ruric very dangerous engine i played those cards before... :)
That intro was Nü as fuck! Reminds me of early Korn
I thought it would fit well with the gruul headbangers.
Is it just a stock riff or is this a legit band?
Lol it’s stock.
