the running attack on the stitcher and halberd pokes aren't broken, they're good but not broken. but yeah full bull goats with anything at level 40 is bullshit lol, even stitcher, people don't know the great epee exists and some invaders are like ganking hosts, they just use broken cheese tactics and point down knowing full well they didnt deserve it.

Kinda wonder how many of the meteors releaseed in Radahn's death cutscene were other astels, because if there were multiple, then Radahn's powerscaling would go haywire again

its quite possible that the earliest stage of astel is the fallingstar beast, you can see astel's skull and eye poking out from its head. (not all of the beasts have the eye i think, the one at mount gelmir does iirc)
then you can see the smaller "astels" (apparently called malformed stars) in ainsel river for example, and they are much smaller than the fully grown astel and have duller coloring.
not to mention that what the fallen meteors evolve into seems to be influenced by what they encounter, so they might also become alabaster/onyx lords.

I really hope they add more options for the neglected weapon types like Great Thrusting Swords, Fists, and Scythes.
Great thrusting swords are S tier in this game, surprised so few people use them.

If you didn't know, Fia's Champions and the Great Jar guys are based after real players who beat them, constantly updating if you're connected to the servers. So yes, you could get a ROB and Moonveil wielding AI and such
Just today I got the worst fight I’ve ever had with those. A tanky int build with a frost weapon nagakiba and the moonlight gs, and an arcane build with of all things a lions claw great mace and bloodflame blade. Those two combined with Lionel’s spamming of ancient death rancor gave almost no openings to attack without being punished heavily for it. I actually almost lost that fight for the first time ever because of the random phantoms.
That healthbar edit for the Godfrey phantom fight was really good

this was the best challenge run to watch. Distance build + having to wait for opening gave birth to a run where we can admire the boss animation in all their glory.
For example this is the first time I can realy see how insanly cool Fortissax is :D
(and those perfect dodges over and over again against Radagon and Malenia, so freaking cool to watch too)

God I love Radahn’s greatbow. It made Placidusax the easiest fight in the game.
I’ve been using great bows pretty much since my first run through. It’s specially effective against large foes. Tree avatars, dragons, wyrms, deathrite birds, giants, etc. Lion Greatbow is my side piece 99% of the time even on NG+5. My only ask to FromSoft would be bigger quivers.
I mean, it’s limited for a reason. I understand where you’re coming from, but that’s what they feel is balanced. 60+ shots (depending on how many types of great arrows you have) is more than enough imo

That fall wouldn’t have killed him better yet lol. I got knocked off because I got cocky and managed to fall off last second but didn’t take any damage because of a slight slope. Happened the second time but it took like -20% HP.

my favorite way to get to fort faroth now is through the teleporter behind the church of marika - it's an easier path across the bridge, then taking the spirit spring behind the erdtree. boom, you're there.
I like how the strat for healing during the Radahn fight is to literally take a nice, BIG sip of something while his crotch literally rests on your face lol
I think its interesting how Radahn's bow doesn't fully work on actual Rennala but the second his sister makes an illusion of his mom, it stun locks her.
How is that interesting? Rennala in phase 1 is basically unable to fight back when her bubble is popped

This makes me want to try a full bow dedicated character: Black Bow for rapid hits and a Lion's Greatbow for beeg damage.
The damage that thing can pump out is really surprising.
Don't do it unless you have the dedication to farm for bleed arrows. Note from someone who tried to do it

I remember when I decided to try a bow build in ER, half for challenge and half for wanting to make a ranger build. I was so blown away by how crazy the arrow rain aow is on enemies with moderately sized hitboxes. I wasn't even using greatbows, but it still shredded everything that had a hitbox larger than Rennala.

Great Bows and bows do good damage NG and in NG+1 the fact they hardly or don't scale is their biggest downfall. Magic scales. Incants scale but somehow bows and crossbows scaling would be "op"

dear distortion and friends, 1st greatbow can be found in the tomb (Fringefolk Hero's Grave) when you start the game, put first giftas 2 stonesword keys and the secret room at the top where the chariot can be killed with the falling giant jars is where you find the Greatbow, hope it speeds up you run this way, :))
It can be, but it's a pretty terrible greatbow. They're better off farming a few golem for one imo. That's the best damaging greatbow by far
Everyone forgets that Godfrey and Astel both drop ashes of war as well as a weapon, not just spells and weapons

I don't feel bad about how I play anymore watching you. We have almost the exact same style when it comes to dodging, healing, and just general technicalities of the game. Now, if only I could achieve multiple world record speed runs and win thousands of dollars winning speed run tournaments.
In regards to using the Lion Greatbow on rune level 1, I used it on my RL1 and it kicked ass it’s definitely worth using it

Rain of Arrows needs tuning. It DOES NOT trigger if you are attacked after launching the arrow and that makes no sense whatsoever.
You can‘t free-aim the WA. If it‘s not locked on it sprays evenly around you, which is only optimal if you like stand right beneath a dragon or something. Also, it has 0 tracking.

Someone mentioned a dragons breath only run, which could work pretty well for everything except the Elden beast who is immune to all status effects, I'd guess you would mostly use ezykezes decay and just wait it out based on teh fact that dragons breath is almost a 3 second cast time, so you get very few opportunities to use it.

Is the droprate of the Golem bow so low? When I used greatbows the golem bow had like 100 damage more in scaling when compared to radahns bow which could have been a bit better against smaller bosses like malenia and even Loretta. Unless something was changed since I played with that bow

They realy should habe made more of radagons lightning attacks into spells. I think most of them would work realy well. The one where an AOE area stays behind. Maybe one where you fly up a little and can throw up to 3 spears in quick succession depending on the charge.

For single target you should have used golem greatbow in your right hand and lion bow in your left. You can fire Radahn's spears from your golem bow and it will still gain the 20% damage boost from the spears even though the lion bow is holstered on your back. This gets you the highest single AP by FAR.
