I've never been over that bridge but I have traveled from VA where I live to go to shinnston over rt 64 I have an uncle and aunt who still live in shinnston in the sixtys I also had grandparents who lived on Monroe St in shinnston
Did you drive through shinnston when you were out that way I can tell from my point of view back in the sixtys and sevenths it was as close to Mayberry as you could get
@rickhissen1904 I like Mayberry! 😊 I drove 19 South from Monogah to Jane Lew. I have a few videos left to post of Monogah, Worthington, Shinnston, Clarksburg, West Milford, and Jane Lew. I will try to get Shinnston posted in the next few days. I really enjoyed driving that scenic road and seeing all the small towns. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked, though! I've noticed there's a lot of forgotten history along that route. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information online about these small towns. Thank you, Rick, for commenting and helping us all remember these beautiful West Virginia small towns! 😊
Your very welcome at first I thought your video was made buy someone who lived there but then I saw all the places you been I hoping someone from out there will see video and comment also we moved out to VA in1969 and when I started driving in early70s i would drive out via rt 50 and visit on weekends
@rickhissen1904 I'm hoping someone from the area will see the videos too! I like to encourage comments on my videos and others with any information about the small towns across the country. We have entire towns being forgotten and small town museums closing! I'm hoping to explore some of Virginia before the end of the year. You live in beautiful country! Thanks again for sharing! 😊
