For those who don’t know, Gorochu is an actual Pokémon character GameFreak scrapped whenever developing Red and Green. Not much is known about him other than his name, that he had tusks, reddish fur, and was originally planned to be Raichu’s evolution. Like with many beta Pokémon during the GameBoy era, Gorochu was likely cut due to limited memory space on the GameBoy cartridges.
Additional fun fact: Gorochu was likely based on Fujin and Raijin from Japanese mythology. Definitely seeing the inspirations in the design they created here, too.
Raichu’s electricity is strong enough to cause an Indian elephant to faint. Gorochu’s electricity is strong enough to cause a Ground-type elephant to faint.
It is not the real one. As I've beaten gorochu, on my first try without losing a single match, it takes you to a video that is titled halll of fame - then ur caracters name.
This design for Gorochu is by far my favorite. He looks distinct from Raichu, while still looking like the natural progression of his evolution line. Plus the thunderstorm around his shoulders helps convey the "god of thunder" GameFreak was going for in the original design. So yeah, still really stoked to see him in games. :)
there is one thing even harder than beating Gorochu: Surviving all 60 seconds to see his tie animation. the moment I tied on the path, I was like, 'hol up... there are TIE animations?!' and so the path is set: the goal is not to win, but to survive. all I can say is best of luck, and the longest I've lasted is 50 seconds with Tusk
They should officially bring back and finally make Gorochu and official real Pokémon as a Past Paradox Pokémon form of Pikachu exclusive as some sort of secret boss battle in the Scarlet and Violet DLC along with a Future Paradox Pokémon counterpart. Who else here agrees with me? Make it Electric Fire Type and name it (I was going with Raging Thunder but now we have Raging Bolt so that ideas out the window) Storming Champion. And for the Future Paradox counterpart make Electric Fire and name it Iron Hero. If you'll motice the typings each one shares the Electric Typing which is expected. But notice how their secondary typimgs in addition specifically complement their Primary Electric Typing to give the the ability to function in BOTH Bright Sunlight AND Electric Terrain with BOTH Protosynthesis and Quark Drive AT THE SAME TIME. This is because like with Iron Hands and Miraidon they're typing matches their power boosting abilities and the power boost revived in Electric Terraian PLUS actually having Stab that gets a boost in said battle conditions. Notice how that there are no Past Form Paradox Pokémon who are at all part Fire Type to receive Stab Boost from a Fire Type move boosted by the Sunlight and Protosynthesis activating. Like in Korraidon's case it's Terra Type must be changed from Dragon or Fighting to Fire in order to receive this boost. But this issue would be completely avoided Paradox Pokémon Pikachu clones would be able to perform in either or settings due to their shared Electric Typing. But their secondary Fire Typing makes them both get Fire Stab and boosted power to Fire Moves vis Bright Sunlight. Either one can perform well in either condition regardless of wether they have they're abilities activated or not. Plus if you'll motive the names, Storming Champion and Iron Hero. Champion and Hero, for a Pikachu Paradox Pokémon form. Yeah, theres no subtly for favoritism here. Plus who does that remind you of? The two trainers who both used a Pikachu as their partner Pokémon in some form, Ash and Red. There could even be some kinda lore that suggests that the real origins of these two Paradox Pokémon that could explain what Paradox Pokémon really are. That they're not really from the past or future but rather were created from the imaginations of the Professors and exploration team of Area Zero from their desires being granted by the reality warpimg wisj granting crystals of the Terra Jewels and Area Zero itself. More specifically it is daid that these two Paradox Pokémon are mentioned nowhere in any official or even dubious documentation of any kind. Therefore it is though they they are newly discovered species. But singular hand made drawings depicting the imaginations of two trainers and the love for their partner Pokémon bares a striking resemblance to the two Paradox Pokémon. Even labled as their given names entitle by unknown students who once briefly attended your school, their drawings even found by you the player in the school library. With drawings if two familiar looking trainers side by side with these two Pokémon with them that curiously resemble Pikachu. Their mames and signatures written on it too faded and smudged to see. Being read as * * * and * * *. Being two names with three letters. In other languages just translate them as needed. The point is being that these were two paradox Pokémon actually CREATED by the imagintand wishes of Red and Ash sometime before the games when they somehow both met attending the Pokémon Paldean Academy and the bond they shared with their Pikachu. Thus opening the door to the possiblity that all Paradox Pokémon were created like this. That they are in fact Imaginary Pokémon that came to life from the sheer will and desire to see them become a reality made possible by the Crystals of Area Zero. As that is what they are. A Paradox. Something that should by any and every means not be possible and should not exist at all under any circumstance yet somehow it does exist and defies every law of physics and even reality itself simply by something thnking if it. Wishing these ideas of what Pokémon could've looked like from the distant past and distant future if they really did or would exist but never did. The deepest, most taw and pure desires of those who believed them come true, their very imaginations made manifest unlimited and unbound from even reality itself. Plus who knows, maybe this is the Pokémon Ash and Pikachu saw in the last episode of the Sun and Moon Anime? Maybe it wasn't an Ultra Beast at all. Amd maybe the fact that Ash and Red are both in Pokémon Masters EX isn't just something random at all and could actually amount to something someday? Only the secrets of Area Zero and the Great Crater of Paldeo know for sure I suppose.😅

Idk I just.. I beat Gorochu on my first try. Without losing a single battle. Okay, so I was playing bewear and beat the path and it was easy as long as you spam the running hug. I had a lil trouble with heracross but it was pretty easy. I came across this video before i challenged the path so i tried it out. I didnt press anything on the victory screen and I was fighting gorochu. I used ONE ATTACK. ONE. The running jump. I didnt really parry or anything, and I beat him without losing. I just downloaded this game 2 days ago. I guess bewears just really OP. Honestly, heracross was harder than Gorochu.
EX moves and supers with motion controls or double button presses on some specials, and apparently there's something akin to a RC system as well but I find it pretty difficult to utilise
