Looks like this app has the good bones it needs to be a great app. I do like a lot that they're considering regional transit services as well as micromobility. I'm paying most attention to how - and if - they handle fare payment and management with OMNY. The "MNR/LIRR Ticketing" bullet point doesn't give me a ton of confidence that they're moving in that direction.
Nice video. I've been also testing the app as well and its honestly not that bad. Has a lot of potential to be a really reliable app. Also ngl can't wait to see dark mode installed in the beta app. that would be cool as hell to see!
My only issue with the app is how much harder it is to just check when a train arrives at a station. MyMTA made it pretty easy and just a few clicks and scrolling away but now you have to search for the station and its much more complex.
I agree with everything you said Mystic about the app and future app and name branding of the app. Good video. I’ll stick to Transit App until MTA fixes this app
testing out the app I liked it! the design looked cool and I like how simple it is to check when a bus departs or arrives! but even then I prefer to use Transit (app)
@@MysticTransit could you do a video on extending the g to forest hills and extending the j/z via 4th ave or west end and sea beach and just other extending lines in existing track
I was wondering if this app was any good myself and I guess your video popped up when I was literally thinking of just that. This video should confirm it for me.
The new MTA app is a MAJOR improvement of the MyMTA app, which was a disaster. Is it perfect? Of course not. At least I'm able to add particular subway lines and bus routes to my Favorites a lot easier than on the MyMTA app. And arrival times aren't always accurate.
RIGHT HERE THEY NEED TO PUT N.Y.P.D. POLICE TRANSIT 🚇🚇🚇 DISTRICT COPS 👮♀️ 👮♂️ 🚔 INSIDE THE SUBWAY TRAIN 🚇 STATION CAB CARS NOT AT THE TURNSTYLES WHERE YOU SCAN & $$$ PAY 2.90 CENTS WITH YOUR OMNY SCANNER CARD PASS.
Because it's easier for them to control information in their own app and use their internal knowledge accordingly rather than rely on external apps, which vary. What would "supporting" third party apps look like? They have a developer group and answer those folks questions Already
Citymapper is still reporting $2.75 fares 😭

Why does everybody think that was so easy? I did the same thing with that app, and more often than not it would tell me that my route DOESN'T EXIST!

Ironically I thought this was going to be the OMNY app the MTA kept delaying
Exactly . Have integration of all Transit in tbd area OMNY card or contactless card
@@williamerazo3921 it would make sense to just do that than to have two separate apps
Always a good day when Mystic uploads
Thanks! Expect more frequent uploads in the near future.

Pointing out these issues is great. I only hope that the mta is watching videos like this to fix it up before launch
Few more improvements so the app can be better👍
I love some dark mode, oh mystic 😂
"i love me some dark mode"
Dont We All

I'm testing it.....we'll see i guess....
The beta download links provided from the MTA and postwd last week no longer work.

The new pfp is cool , I personally don’t like the color , the blue isn’t the best haha
yeah ima just stick to ‘transit’ app
W Vídeo, Im also testing the app
Bro literally upload the same video I was working on on day early
You guys are two legends within the transit community 😁
I can't even get the next train or bus from the MyMTA, Bus time or Train time apps, unless I'm indoors with a good Wi-Fi connection.

.......it should show accurate bus times
So is this app only available on apple?
It's on Android too
Micro transit should replace all infrequent bus routes
Can you post a link to the app? It’s only called MTA?
I see no damn link in the description for the app
It's beta for now, not released to the general public yet.
Turns out the description didn't update when I went to put the link in it. The link should now be visible.
tbh I’ll probably js stick to underway
What is the name of this app?
I finally got access to the app
I do not see why they even make an app if there are better ones made by others, just support the other apps.

ill stick to transit
It’s terrible. I got it and no maps terrible way finding and transit app is better
