This van was my childhood. I used to annoy my dad with this one feature that allowed the middle passenger on the driver's side to change the radio station.
Nice tour, and you’ve done a great job at keeping up your vehicle. It looks better than my 99 looked when ai sold it in 2006. I wish they made nw minivans in two-tone.
My 2001 Villager has 3 rows of seats, too. But the second and third rows are both bench style. I easily popped the third row seat out. I'd like to also take the second row out. Question: Does anyone know if that second row bench is removable? Thank you!!
It's bolted to the tracks on each side. So it is removable. It's just a huge pain and the tracks don't come out. Ironically, if you're just trying to put a piece of plywood in there, it's more convenient to do it with the seat in as it folds down flat. Then just use a cooler of the same height to hold your plywood up. Unfortunately for hauling bikes and stuff, not so great.
Very reliable except a few things. Gotta change the timing belt at 160k and the windows and door locks are notorious for going out and being a bear to diagnose.
My great grandmother had a 2002 nissan quest. For some reason I could never get it to start. No matter what I did, then my great-grandmother would try and it would start right up for her, made no sense.
@@toyoscio These were excellent vans. They were made by Nissan, and in the 90s, they were at the top of their game in quality. The 3.0 V6 in these is known for longevity and durability, as well as the 3.3.
I am looking for a villager. Have had two villagers and one quest, all of which have been totalled on the streets of Santa Fe NM, abominable drivers here. Still am in love with villagers. You didn't list your price or where the car lives. How about a phone number? Thank you very much.
I have a 1997 Villager Top of the line leather and everything with original owner 44k miles as I write this 2/6/22 if you are interested I’m located in Texas.
I hope you still have the van. I had a’93 villager years ago and today I still drive a ‘96 Quest. I do know one thing about these engines, they are made by Nissan but the van was assembled by Ford. Ford told Nissan to make 3 changes to the engine before agreeing to build these. 1) it had to have an oil Level switch. 2) they had to relocate the oil filter for easier servicing 3) and most importantly - the engine had to be a non-interference engine. If your timing belt were to break, the engine would suffer no damage. It’s an excellent vehicle, enjoy it.
When it is off, the automatic transmission shifting is limited to the lower gears. For an automatic transmission, it is almost always best to select overdrive and allow the transmission to control engagement of the overdrive.
I remember that Van here in Canada when I was getting my drivers license the thing that they wernt all that big of sale here in Edmonton Alberta Canada actually because nobody even cared about them that is exactly why Nissan never had the second generation of the Quest here in Canada until then Third gen came back to Canada and same as the fourth gen until Nissan called it quits with the van alltogether and Ford Canada stopped production of the villager in the very early 90s because they just weren't a huge sale for Ford here in Canada actually Ford Canada calls it a huge sales flop
Nice van! Lots of luxury inside!

Mines has that. Freaking awesome to be kicking back in the back and not have to go up front to change the channel or volume.
man this takes me back the fam bought one of these when I was a kid, those were sweet vans.
until they broke down.
Sometimes
@@toyoscio everything breaks down eventually.
I'm so glad it has a "De-Frog". Those pesky frogs are just too much!
"You should only have overdrive on if you're going on vacation." Bless your heart 😂😂😂😂
Had a 95 when the kids were young, fantastic vehicle. Nissan quality on a Ford budget.
Lol until 2000

Love this van

I've been in two of these, although they both were the base model. And Angry Grandpa had one for a time.
That's why I came here lol
" when we get to the end of the road I will do a...."
me= "please say doughnut!"
Do you still own this vehicle if so how reliable are the Villager?
Thinking about purchasing one for Courier delivering service!
Very reliable except a few things. Gotta change the timing belt at 160k and the windows and door locks are notorious for going out and being a bear to diagnose.
Wow, how'd you get the power doors and windows to work?!
Also, nice video. I learned two things. One, how to open the rear windows. Two, how to open the back window. 😊

What a nice van, think maybe I'll look into getting one 💯
Lol Your money; a van from a defunct company and one on the verge of bankruptcy

Do you still have this vehicle? Are you able to show the removal of seats? I am having a challenge with mine.
surprise your tachometer still works. we had a 1999 villager, tachometer stick at 1500rpm
+shane premraj ours did too lol
Joshua Johnson I wonder what's the reason for it to stop working.
usually the cable needs to be oiled is the most common cause but it's a pain to crack the instrument cluster open to get to it
How much for the van
Why do I want one so bad
Why?
That Nice Van
