I like that GTA 3 gave you the option to play in this topographical view, maybe for nostalgic reasons, but i dont remember using it often, only once in a blue
The dude in the thumbnail is an acting friend of mine named Martin Pheffercorn. Not sure if I spelled his name right. He was also in MIB II.... maybe III. He played a homeless guy who pushed the aliens head down in the shopping cart. It was a very brief scene.
Playing this as a kid, not knowing english I hardly did any missions and it was just chaos, very fun game at the time, never played it after but it's very nostalgic
Missions are actually optional in this game. The Goal is to basically make a million dollars or more to unlock the next district. I remember I found a tank in a secret location and used it to just rampage around and I just made enough money to unlock the next stage, without having to complete missions. However, missions allow you to reach the goal quickly and efficiently.

Thank you for this! And appreciate leaving the intro in the beginning, GTA 2 was one of my first games all those 20 years ago, and definitely one of the ones that got me into PC gaming :)
The introo... i play gta 2 when i was Like 5 or 6 in my mom’s old laptop... my childhood... and later san Andreas, vice city, Liberty city, vc stories... etc... (all of this in my ps2) Liberty city stories in my uncle’s psp... and gta 4 and 5 in ps3 and ps4... im a rockstar fanboy....
Who says gta can’t be a movie. This is it
@I feel Sick you make me sick
I remember playing this game with a friend of mine in our teenage years. What an awesome period. This is still the only one I played of the serie.
The most underrated GTA game by far
They should do a GTA with cheap life-action sequences like this again. I love them because 90ies.
20th Anniversary for this masterpiece! GTA 2 it's the best GTA of the 2D Universe.
Respect + for GTA Series Videos, thanks for uploading and the walkthrough.
This was the first GTA game I've ever owned. Vice City Stories imo is one of their best I almost burned my eyes out playing it on those old dinosaur tvs
I love how the series has evolved so much but you can see that the humor still is very similar with the old games.
Rockstar: Respect is everything
EA Games: Challenge everything
More like
"Money is Everything"

And they pronounce it like "Challenge is everYthing" (with Y stressed for some reason). I remember it confusing me a lot as a non-native speaker.

I'm 17 y.o. Most of teens like me hate this kinda game, especially for 2D game. But after watched this video, I'm realize that 2D game isn't kinda that bad tho. I'm really interested to play this game. Thanks to GTA Series Video for replaying this game :)
Wow this brought back some memories. I remember all the little things about this game. When I was a kid I was obsessed with this game.
In Ali G’s words... “respek iz errthing”
just like money
We never had the skill to complete more than a couple of missions, but we used to play this every day after school 😎
3:21:35 is my favourite part!
OMG THE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
Actually this game takes place in 2 weeks in the future. So, it's November 2019 here :D
But TBH, it's 2013... If you lived in times when GTA 2 website was active
Gotta love how Jack Branning from Eastenders is in the intro
Yh 😁
CDM 02 He was also appear in The Bill his name is Phil as a detective
@White Pride No, but Jack played him in the short movie.
CDM 02 yh
Best part about this video is that you can hear all the Rockstar-made songs without any copyright strike. Nice.
All the songs in this game are made exclusively.
The intro made me soooo happy to see. Brought me back to my childhood! The main character running away from the group of people, and stealing the truck. LOL. I miss those days!
This and gta 3. All time favorites.
Gta 3 was my first gta. It was a huge leap from playing driver 2 on ps1 then getting exposed to gta 3
Tell him I say hi
I feel great when I see some old game walkthrough uploaded new.
I cry
Ohhhhhh respect ++
This takes me back to when me and my friends in high school had a paper full of cheat codes for gta 2.
Wait a second
I don’t remember it looking this good
it's upscaled thanks to the emulator
@@TheBarlettano this is the PC version

Man what a nostalgia feeling . I played it and when watching it again . It's was calming.
Playing this as a kid, not knowing english I hardly did any missions and it was just chaos, very fun game at the time, never played it after but it's very nostalgic
god how rockstar really was awesome back then. makes me miss the good old days. lol

Me : GTA VI is coming !
*People play GTA2.*
Og games are a legend like gta sa
Its crazy how san andreas was just five years away from this game 🤯🤯🤯
Never played this game but I've always liked the atmosphere and gameplay
Missions are actually optional in this game. The Goal is to basically make a million dollars or more to unlock the next district. I remember I found a tank in a secret location and used it to just rampage around and I just made enough money to unlock the next stage, without having to complete missions. However, missions allow you to reach the goal quickly and efficiently.
Thank you so much for this upload! This was by far my favorite GTA game. I used to play it all the time back in the day when windows could actually still read games on CD. I really miss it. It's weird how as things advance, stuff can't even comprehend the past. Thank you :)
The new gta looks SO realistic 😍
?
GANGSTAR LRH it’s sarcasm
@@Ostin1299 OK

I don't think my PC can handle dem graphics...
I remember playing the demo of gta 2 and thinking, this is a sick game even for being 2d.. Went and bought it for 20 bucks at walmart. Year later or so I seen 3 in blockbuster, rented it, took it home, realized it was 3d and it was a rap! Best game ever
You... You just took me on a journey through all my childhood memories. AND THAT INTRO THOUGH !
*...and remember; Respect is everything*
Love it
That intro was an intense flash back. I played the early 2d games around the ages of 4-5
Lmao. "i am bored so im starting a war" hahaha i love the satirical tone of this game.
Detroit in the 1980s at the start lol
This is the last video I was expecting to be uploaded
I haven't seen that title screen in YEARS!!! the opening sounds brought me back to a simpler time ❤❤❤
Elvis has left the building!
I'm writing this comment as I have already installed and playing GTA 2.
Thought who's playing this game in the world now, and picked up my phone and searched the youtube. i thought noone would be playing this but this guy here made a walkthrough 1 month ago. Knowing people still care and know about this game feels awesome.
And with ton of NOSTALGIA, i must say I'm crying.
i was 4 year old when i played this game.
And fought a bug when jump and try to throw molotov at the same time the character is stuck in the ear, only if you keep pressing ctrl.
As a child that's so smart but i was little i didn't payed any attention. But now i consider myself as born gamer.
And still remember the action TAB. LOL
Hoh! I still love the days where i spent countless hours of laughter in this game.
😭
I have never done something like this before, read all 654 comments of this video.
You can know the level of my NOSTALGIA
1:30:35 that is the quickest alarm response I've ever witnessed
My childhood in one video, thank you 😭
Never thought I'd see one of these videos, nice on keeping it 100 and paying homage to the franchise.
Not enough people give GTA2 credit for how awesome it was!
it's still awesome. I wish it has still a active mod community. It was very active around 1999 - 2008 with custom maps
I had no idea you could be Jack Branning or DSI Hunter... LMAO
