If I remember correctly, Todd Howard is actually a pretty decent guy; he doesn't like crunch, and his favourite Elder Scrolls is actually Morrowind and has said that he doesn't want it remastered, he wants people to play the original.
He's a great example of "die a hero or live long enough to become a villain"

I'm very skeptical of his "thousand planets" promise in Starfield. The planets will most likely be very boring and generic resource farm planets and nothing more. Computer generated and nothing unique about them.
