This might be the BIGGEST phone I've ever seen... 😲

- This phone is something else... not only is it HUGE, but it has a few features I've never seen on a phone before. Lemme know what you think!
8849 sent this phone to us to check out, but we were not paid and we intentionally did not let them review the video or any info in the video before it went live. As you saw in the video, the phone has some compelling features for specific use cases, but the freezing is a bit concerning. Not sure if that’s a one-off problem or long term problem, but something to keep in mind. If you are interested in buying the phone, check out the listing here: reurl.cc/vpvX4l

This phone has some really random features… but I kinda love it 😂
Shaquille O Neal sees this as a regular phone
11000mah and we already think is big capacity??
Ok
How about 7.5volt battery!!! Its mean have double mah capacity as 1s standart battery... or simple explanation is.... its already 22000mah...!!!!
I have the tank 3 and have been using it for over 1.5 years it's great barely have to charge it.
I can comfier android 14's codename is upside down cake your welcome
The type of phones a 60 year old truck driver would have😂
😂 100%
On god
How about a 56 year old IT guy with crappy eyes?
@@currentsitguyThat's oddly specific. Are you sure you aren't talking about yourself?😂
@ How'd you guess?
He's laughing, but when the Galaxy Note 2 and it's "massive" 5.5 inch display came out, everyone said it was "unusable" because of its size.
Phones were wider back then.
My sister had a Note 2. I was so jealous but had to wait for the Note 3 for some reason. I've had s pen phones ever since.
Todays phones have a 19:9-20:9 aspect ratio, so while the screens have more hight than they used to due to having little bezel, the width is similar to phones with ~1" smaller screens.
yup, i happened to buy one for my mum who aptly changed to iphone 5s and gave it to me, back then having a phone was cool. but it wasn't as durable as we thought.
Go back longer Galaxy mega
The fact they included a microSD slot is enough to make me consider their products
it's a solid device to be honest
if you go camping and it's dark, you can use the infrared mode to see things around you and you can use the strobo light to give someone a signal of your whereabouts to lead someone to you either to help you or just to come back to the camp.
amazing how they thought this out
The only thing I can think of that are missing is a built in FRS or GMRS radio or a SPOT transmitter to yell for help in the middle of nowhere.
And it also doubles as bear assault device, neat. 😊
The thing I love with this kind of phones us that it has a Night Vision
I can tell you here and now you cannot actually plug most phones to your TV. Only very specific and it's mostly expensive phones that you can do so. The Galaxy phones can do it I don't know about iPhone but I wouldn't be surprised if it could.
@krislarsen6546 you don't plug it in its called smart view
The battery life is no surprise. They are able to pack in a thicker battery, like one for a tablet.
One of my old Motorola Droid phones had an HDMI out port. It really saved me when the screen got trashed. I was able to get my stuff backed up using my TV.
It's made by a company called Unihertz who are kinda known for gimmicky phones. You'll get a kick out of this - it's also known as the Tank 3 Pro
The Tank 3 and the Shark 3 are made by the same company
@@mikepeacock4725 just without the projector i think, which was its best part and the 23000mh battery
If you get caught with that thing you will go to jail for having a lethal weapon.
Android 14 is indeed codename "Upside Down Cake"
iOS is codenamed: we are desperately trying to be android.
I personally use Android Snow Cone 😁
This phone and the Tank 3 are basically what happens if Bear Grylls asks a company to build a phone specially for his adventures. Unihertz love to build unique phones like this and the Titan. Unfortunately a phone that weighs over a pound and is thicker than my laptop isn't going to be for everyone but it's designed for people who are out a lot. Also the side fingerprint scanner in the power button is like what's on my Z Fold 3.
alright so to note, this has a dimensity 8300 which roughly equals to the snapdragon 8+ gen 1, which is very good considering how big the battery is. this phone is basically a cut down and a more practical version of the tank 3 pro which has an ldp 100 lumen projector and a 23800mh battery, but is loaded with a dimensity 8200 which is a decent amount weaker than the 8300. another note is yes the screen on the shark 3 is better as it has amoled where as the tank 3 comes with only an ips display i think. which makes the shark 3 pretty much a flagship of the rugged phones.
Back in the day my sister had the first galaxy note and I remember it looking so big it was surreal, mad how all phones are the same size or bigger now.
Awww, it’s 2025 and he’s always soooo happy…
11600mAh Battery+120W Fast Charging?? I'm in love 😍
11600mah at 7.5V .... that's more than. 5x the battery size of big android phones
Dear RUclipsr. Please use a higher quality audio so my commercials dont wake the neighbours
The shark background I'd crazy cool, 🦈
Yay! Someone with over 10× the subscribers watches Smokin' Silicon! 🎉
This phone is amazing. I understand the glitching is problematic but I appreciate how effective this would be on a construction site!!
6:16 also notice how the voltage is 7.5v. Normal phone batteries have 3.7v so while this has 87Wh an iPhone only has 11.1Wh.
It has a 2s battery
Yooooo this phone is sick, i just wish it had the projector feature lmao😂
Lol we really need to get one (or multiple) of those phones with projectors built in to try out on the channel
Its a walkie talkie/phone TECHNICALLY LOL and the performance is really good for gaming surprisingly after watching videos on it
Its like on amazon basically it's called the ulefone power armor 26 ultra
And yes iphones are not good with battery capacity and over heating and all that stuff, just camera and performance is good and it's the same thing. Definitly these rugged smartphones are recommended and better
People who don't make perpetual monthly payments on their phone have finger print sensors on the side
My grandmothers Moto G pure and even it’s sensor is on the back. The old Samsung I got had it in the screen and the random Android I got from amazon (Chinese brand) has it on the back.
Even cheap phones don’t have them on the button anymore. Not any I’ve seen.
@@Marynicole830 I have a cheap phone with it my ma has the same my brother in law with the same and same with my dad.
My Razr from last year has one
My stupidly expensive Samsung fold has it on the sensor on the side too. I use it more than I use face ID
A lot of Samsung's Galaxy A phones have a power button mounted fingerprint reader.
It's obvious he never heard of the energizer phone
That was made for a 50 day battery life but was way too big. However, as phones get more advanced I could see a time where we could see an iPhone and the upper tier Android phones like Samsung and Google having 1 week long battery lives. For 1 month long battery life in mass production at least that’s probably not happening for another 20-25 years.
My Samsung Galaxy a14 5g has a fingerprint reader on the side power button. Also has the ability to unlock using the face. This phone here in the video is a behemoth of a phone. Surprised it isn't $2k
2:36 a series still has this button feature, I'm pretty sure next year will make it under the display, tbh that'll be biggest let down in world because this button has so much features and useful for some people like me.
It's Basically like a Tank 3 Pro but with half the battery since and without the Projector.
There is also a model with a built-in projector.
Just for a little tip if you were to hold the power button for long enough it will power off.
I enjoyed this review. I'm familiar with Unihertz 8849's other phone, the Tank series, but I've never seen the Shark before. Really cool.
A couple of thoughts:
• While a lot of flagship phones have a native video out over USB-C set-up, it's kind of hard to come by on sub flagship models. In Samsung-land none of their A-Series devices have it. It's an exclusive to the S, Z, and that one Galaxy rugged phone. It's very cool that 8849 included wired video out here.
Miracast is a really good workaround though. I use it with my Galaxy A15 to talk to my projector.
• I hope that you get to test one of 8849's newer generation Tank models. They have, I kid you not, an integrated pico projector inside the phone. What's better than going camping and sleeping under the stars? Going camping and watching Hollywood stars, I guess. Or it'd be useful for binging episodes of Smokin' Silicon to scare away the local bears.
You have to try out the telephoto lens for this one too; as this is one of the things it says the camera does. (According to the listing that is!). Just a thought!📸
That is what you would call a rugged phone perfect for a blue collar working man
I initially thought that the guy in the video from February 1 was the same person as the one in this video. I came to this conclusion because I watched two videos: one from over a year ago and another from a few months ago.
I am so tempted, oh man. That night vision would be handy since I'm out for walks a bunch and definitely not doing urbex in the dark. The screen size would be grand for my eyes that did not take kindly to hitting 40 several years ago. Being a durable chonker is just a good idea for the investment you do in a phone too. I need to get something for Uma Musume once it arrives in English version after all.
Shark is a brand of rugged phone which explain how thick and heavy it is. The screen is 6.73 " which is not that big. My Honor 200 smart has a bigger screen (6.8 ").
its MASSIVE
Just like the low taper fade meme
massive you know what else is massive low taper fade😢😢☺️🎉

@@LOWW_TAPER_FADE you just had to ruin it buddy
Great video. I'm watching this on my iphone 8
Ooh, your phone is older than my Galaxy S10e 😊
That phone is for people that rock climb, hike, and many other sports, also construction and camping. Ect..
Go cave exploring using that super bright camping light =)
That is ridiculous...I want one !
That phone is solid
Back when phones had swappable batteries you could get 3rd party extra large batteries that came with their own case. You eneded up with a similar thickness phone that lasted a week. Zerolemon was the brand I always got. They are still around making silly thick battery cases.
We must see the Tank 3
Good cameras is a must for me and is why I never buy these odd phones as they always have horrible cameras.
I don’t have this exact phone but I do have a similar one from oukitel (you won’t struggle to hear the WP30 pro it’s deafening). A phone this heavy is ok in jeans or joggers but not in shorts, it’s too big, too heavy. I love its huge battery and long life between charges but too impractical. Your phone + a 10,000mAh power bank would still weigh less
Yes, that is the name of Android 14...i know, it's strange 😂
The Samsung galaxy mega was 6.3". That was huge for 2013 but for 2025 is considered normal. Now we have 7.5" screens on phones.
That's not even a phone anymore. That's a tablet.
Watching this on my ulefone 24. I really like the battery life and the flashlight is a life saver when I'm working on cars.
the processor is the same processor used in Poco X6 Pro 5G
The strobe would be good for emergencies, like on the side of the road.
About your comment regarding companies using the power button as a fingerprint reader and not seeing it recently, there's an obscure company called Sony that has it there on their latest models, and have been doing it for about 10 years, I'd reckon.
But does it have a headphone jack?
You're hilariously energetic xD

Good thing it can't be set to overload. It'll wipe out a half block.
5:26 2spooky4me
I think its a CAT version of that phone. They for people in the construction field and/or people who go camping a lot
Finally. The smartphone with the reputation of an old Nokia. 😂😂😂
Wasn't even turned on and he already held it vertically-oriented
Survival Phone
looks a lot like the CAT phone that was put out a while ago. designed for ppl that were in all sorts of heavy industry and it had lots of handy options on it for use out in the middle of nowhere
6:40 it's not phone, it's powerbank with smartphone functionality
Close your eyes, does anyone else hear Doug Demuro?
Looks like a phone a cat burglar would use with that bright ass light in the center 😂
Great video and cool phone. I just would have like to hear actual size of the display. Had to google it to see that it is 6,73”. So it’s pretty big but still smaller than Pixel 9 Pro XL or Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and many others. I was hoping it would really be big phone with big screen. They don’t make phones with big enough displays in my opinion. Well, some folding phones have big enough display but not non-folding ones.
sooo... basically, a self-defense brick?
The last time I saw a phone with a fingerprint sensor was the iPhone 7 Plus I used to film some of my very first videos.
If it had better cameras and a faster cpu then honestly I kinda want it
Feels like it would be a good commercial device like in a shop or a factory.
omg 😂 4:37
Fingerprint sensors on buttons isn't that uncommon... right??
massive?!?!?!?!
You know what else is massive

Do you know what’s even more massive? Anti-spiral pro athletes oiling up each other
bringing brick phones back from the dead
they are flexin a feature that is missing from all my phones. i would love to do that when my screen was hella dead ...
That Phone Is Crying For The Garbage. 🗑️
I have this phone as my hiking phone for when i go camping and long hikes i wanna get a used one for one of my bug out bags with downloading maps and a ton of manuals for survival
people with HUGE THICK hands
It has Mediatek Dimensity 8350 SoC. Quite solid, albeit somewhat slower than Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
You said it yourself it's a $450 phone you can't expect much for a camera for that especially with everything else the phone has going on for it
0:00 and you know what else is massive?
I seen the Tank phone has a projector and cooling fans as well
My phone has the fingerprint on the side. How long has it been since I've seen it? Well, I'm looking at it right now, so not long.
3:58 it might have a mic in a weird place and your finger might be covering up the mic by accident
I have the Samsung Z fold 6 and the fingerprint reader is built into the side power button... It's been the same way on all models of the Z flip and Z fold
So to me, this isn't that surprising at all. In my opinion, it works better/faster than the ultrasonic screen fingerprint readers
Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 has a side fingerprint in power button.
Idubz talking about his wifes lover in that clip
How many updates it got
My A04s has the fingerprint sensor in the power button
50% of the video = Oh my gosh.. Holy crap
Your cable management has set my ocd off lol
Remember the Samsung Mega?
My Motorola G200 has the fingerprint reader in the side button.
6.7 inch screen. Wow.
they advertise it as thiner and lighter apparently your phone is not the big one, the big one called Tank 3 lol it got 23k mah battery in it
7:16 that's a great processor right there dimensity 8300 ultra
I thought Android stopped using dessert names.
No way. They're running out of letters, though- they're currently on Android 15: Vanilla Ice Cream 🍦

i use umidigi tough phones they are cheap and 👍 great without this unusually big price tag most of the time
10:45 tryin' to be Dex by Samsung. 🤣
Na just wired projection, my huawei mate 20 pro from like 7 years ago has it and desktop mode similar to dex, its nothing new is it 😊
The Zfold has a fingerprint sensor in the Butten lol
So does the flip and I believe the other Samsung flagship phones lol😂 also the iPad minis do along with the iPad pros
Air. The pro models have faceid. @@Nawklim
Same with the pixel and pixel pro fold
@@Nawklim I have an S24 Ultra, literally a flagship phone, and it doesn't have the fingerprint sensor in the button, but on the screen. This was the same for the S22 Ultra I had before it.
Is anybody going to tell him that the Google pixel 9 pro fold has a fingerprint sensor on the power button😂
