I always thought it was stupid that the canted irons were on the left on the bolt action rifles, but then I noticed something... It's only on the bolt action rifles. You wouldn't be able to bolt the rifle if the sights were on the right. Well, you might be able to, but it certainly wouldn't be as easy as if they weren't there.
+Schaps The iron sight on the sides are used for switching long range sight to short range sight spontaneously without having to change the scope. It's even used in COD, except the iron sights are red dot sight.
I am on the same quest right now and I found that going by weapon class was the most effective. Carbines, PDWS, Assault rifles, LMGS, and now I'm on DMRS (Mostly on CQ), then snipers and shotguns. This allows you to use the same play style more or less for each type of weapon, its rough at times but it's so exciting and gives a great longer term goal for the game. I found that using weapons that are considered the weaker ones in each class first made the grind more enjoyable as I went. Best of luck, LVL! And GODSPEED on the DMRS...
This gun is not difficult to use. I think you were spoiled by the SRR-61. This gun is perfect for those who like the SV98, M40A5, Scout Elite, and CS-LR4
Exactly, this gun is easy to use at long range I think it's the best sniper with the 8xs I've taken out a lot of other recons but with the suppressor, their teammates can't see me
when he said hard to use i was surprised, personally i think the hardest to use is the jng something, although i do only play locker with a sniper and shorty-12g i think it is easy

Excellent. Finally a sniper rifle with proper bullet drop. After hundreds of hours playing BF:P4F I wasn't able to adapt to the rifles in BF4 and always shot above their heads. This might actually fix my problems. I'd only wish they'd implemented a proper bullet drop for all weapons in the first place.
If anything the SR338 should be his last Mastery Dog Tag video. I'd love to check the Battlelogs of the people asking for it and see how far they are through to those 500 kills...
srr is over used. hardly any bullet drop. try the sv98, and m40 they are so smooth in their mechanics compared to the srr, and you might want to try the l96 it has a really nice zoom sensitivity feel. those 3 and the m98b can be use much more affectively for team play, rather then just going for kills, since the rpm is so low, and its has less rounds in the mag then the others i mentioned.

Been using the CS5 for about a day now, I rather like it. It's a bit odd, but works well in close range situations if you like playing aggressive recon style gameplay. body shot with the rifle, finish with the pistol.

You mention that the 45 degree iron sights are on the wrong side, but unless i'm mistaken they must be on the left side with that rifle. Other-wise the iron sights would be in the way of the bolt. LevelCapGaming
Please master the sks sometime! It's one of my favorite dmrs and I'm close to mastering it myself. I would also like to say I recently unlocked the cs5 and I am having an absolute blast with the stock weapon itself. I have been consistently dropping 18 to 25 kills a game in conquest with it. Thank you for your videos level cap even your air soft videos I enjoy them all.
After unlocking the acog scope its one of the best for offensive recons. I have so much fun with it, sometimes outgunning 2-3 people just because can pull fast headshots. Its only what is my personal taste, wich is different from many others (since i ran with FY-JS before) ive noticed.
Hey Levelcap, I'm a big fan of your channel. It's funny because I agree with about 90% of your analogy, the other 10% I'm probably wrong lol. The CS5 is my favorite bolt action. It may not have the best muzzle velocity, but there's a statistic that just can't be measured, and that's skill level, style of play, and most of all the general feel. I run my CS5 with; PKA-S (1X) : R2 Suppressor : Laser Sight : Straight Pull I'm not the greatest Marksman in the world, and as an aggressive recon, some may prefer rifles such as the ssr, scout, or the Gol. I use a controller, I'm sure that isn't helping my aim, and I'm usually not idle camping in a bush. I'm usually on the move, and when I do run and gun, I feel like all the other rifles bullets fly all over the place and have zero accuracy. That's not the case with the CS5. In my opinion it's the most accurate weapon in the game on the move. Of course once you get the feel for the drop and muzzle vs. movement speed down pack. Once you establish a feel for the CS5, you are down right untouchable with the amount of led you let off in succession. I personally love the CS5. 4x scope suppressor I haven't figured out the third attachment yet though but I have been using the range finder it can help at times when you have to take out another sniper at range.

Tough gun to master. Loadout seemed to work well on that gun. Smart pick. When I use any bolt action I don't like playing that close. I have played aggressively with the GOL or 338 Recon with some success. Very difficult to find a comfort zone with the CS5. Very good show.
I have 830 kills, 36% accuracy with it. Run the 6x scope, tri beam laser, CS5 suppressor/flash hider, straight pull. Awesome hip fire shots. Fun to use. Very fun.
All of the bolt action rifles have the canted iron sights on the left side of the weapon. If they were on the left it would impede the function of the rifle by stopping the rearward movement of the bolt handle.
at 1:42 he says that it won't 1 hit kill them in extremely long range shots. but from what I've noticed (and I usually play regular conquest on xbox) is that in long range shots even body shots are one hit kills
Rambo JR i one shotted a dude out of a littlebird from like 300 and highly doubt it was a headshot. i make 1 shot body shots like that all the time when i snipe because usually run the srr with a 20x or 40x scope

Type 88 LMG. In a video you made before BF4 came out, you stated that the Type 88 could have some promising comeback with a fire rate buff, and I love to see you use it to its potential bests and be good with it

The Acog, straight pull and supressor are great choice for this rifle. I predominantly play on locker On PS4 on normal mode for and I have found great joy using this rifle on that level. I have also been known to use FLIR on it as well. with good backup it can be useful in chokepoints taking advantage of the fatal funnel. I am not that great of a player but this rifle sings to me in CQC on locker. Honestly I normally use an ACOG on most of my bolt actions (When I use bolt action, normally I prefer LMGs)
Would love to see you master the Gol Magnum! I think this is one of the most under appreciated bolt guns in the game and I love it! Looking forward to your future videos.

M249! One of the best LMG here... this is very easy to get the mastery dog tag... im using it with angled/folding grip, and muzzle brake, and laser sight :D one of the coolest loadout for this weapon!
This gun's bullets are ridiculously slow. It's seriously the worst sniper in the game. Sure it has good hip fire and fire rate... but it's a bolt action sniper... neither of those are attributes you really want out of a bolt action. You want bullet speed, low drop and precision. Fire rate and hip fire are main attributes of an SMG, not a sniper
Madcuzbad - this sniper is definitely one of the best in the game if you know how to use it. I'm guessing you're a SRR fanboy with a god awful KPM and ~27-35% accuracy. You scrub.

Its not the worst bolt-action ,if u compare it with SRR or the M98b thats unfair cus these rifles were built for very long range , the CS5 is a aggressive recon but surprisingly u can get real good distance kills if u practice like with any rifle
I personally think this gun is a beast. The slow bullet velocity helps somewhat, Say you barely shoot the right or left of a guy, most likely he is gonna strafe and you will still hit him.

Tough gun to master. Loadout seemed to work well on that gun. Smart pick. When I use any bolt action I don't like playing that close. I have played aggressively with the GOL or 338 Recon with some success. Very difficult to find a comfort zone with the CS5. Very good show.

I have 830 kills, 36% accuracy with it. Run the 6x scope, tri beam laser, CS5 suppressor/flash hider, straight pull.

All of the bolt action rifles have the canted iron sights on the left side of the weapon. If they were on the left it would impede the function of the rifle by stopping the rearward movement of the bolt handle.

at 1:42 he says that it won't 1 hit kill them in extremely long range shots. but from what I've noticed (and I usually play regular conquest on xbox) is that in long range shots even body shots are one hit kills

Rambo JR i one shotted a dude out of a littlebird from like 300 and highly doubt it was a headshot. i make 1 shot body shots like that all the time when i snipe because usually run the srr with a 20x or 40x scope

The Acog, straight pull and supressor are great choice for this rifle. I predominantly play on locker On PS4 on normal mode for and I have found great joy using this rifle on that level. I have also been known to use FLIR on it as well. with good backup it can be useful in chokepoints taking advantage of the fatal funnel. I am not that great of a player but this rifle sings to me in CQC on locker. Honestly I normally use an ACOG on most of my bolt actions (When I use bolt action, normally I prefer LMGs)

M249! One of the best LMG here... this is very easy to get the mastery dog tag... im using it with angled/folding grip, and muzzle brake, and laser sight :D one of the coolest loadout for this weapon!

This gun's bullets are ridiculously slow. It's seriously the worst sniper in the game. Sure it has good hip fire and fire rate... but it's a bolt action sniper... neither of those are attributes you really want out of a bolt action. You want bullet speed, low drop and precision. Fire rate and hip fire are main attributes of an SMG, not a sniper
Madcuzbad - this sniper is definitely one of the best in the game if you know how to use it. I'm guessing you're a SRR fanboy with a god awful KPM and ~27-35% accuracy. You scrub.

Its not the worst bolt-action ,if u compare it with SRR or the M98b thats unfair cus these rifles were built for very long range , the CS5 is a aggressive recon but surprisingly u can get real good distance kills if u practice like with any rifle
I personally think this gun is a beast. The slow bullet velocity helps somewhat, Say you barely shoot the right or left of a guy, most likely he is gonna strafe and you will still hit him.
