  • Marty, WT0Z, has a question on standing a antenna on a mast. He is wondering 20 ft metal fence post top rail mast that you use need self supporting or does it need guying for holding up the end of an end-fed? Watch to learn more.

Watching you draw that top rail connection made me realize this was a hub and socket connection.

THHN is Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon -- one of the formulations of the plastic insulation on wire. 🙂I never knew that before. Now I do.

Thanks for the video. Could that 3 ft rope go over the pulley with a weight on the end to give both tension and a little bit of stretch as needed?

When transmitting on a Longwire l. . Where is the current/ voltage the highest. ( feed point along the wire/ off the end?. If I put one up and someone grabs it while I transmit will he get zapped? R.f. burn???

???? It entirely depends on where, along the continuum, the voltage peaks occur.
