I was at the Darwin workshop, there were still tickets right up to the start time as my hubby contemplated buying one so he could come in and drink coffee instead of wandering the streets of London. We got a cool new patch too, you should have come along. The teeny octopus is so fiddly! But I’m finding the rest of the doll quite a quick make 😁 was that your hello fresh dinner sitting on the table too? I was trying to work out what recipe you had there. We get that too as it’s one less decision we have to make if we let them pick our dinner 😂 adulting is so hard sometimes I don’t have the brain space left to decide a dinner too
You were correct Emily! NHM for Darwin was repeated on the Friday i told you about Estravaganza! So glad you got one in their update because it was nhm exclusive Martyn had made one because he was there for the night i went in 2023. Just make it with a good light with all that charcoal! 😂 xx
I'm really looking forward to getting my parcel. It was posted yesterday so hopefully be with me by Saturday! Ah yes! I remember you saying how troublesome it was to work on in the low light 😆! Xx
The secret garden might have been me. I posted that early on in the Facebook chat. It has to be something literary. I want to say Hansel and Gretel because the dolls look like a little boy and girl and the gingerbread house. The key and vines still make me think of the Secret Garden. Plus what are we making with these flag strings - petals for a flower doll? But, the key could be for the cage that Hansel and Gretel were locked in. The thimble and sharp needle I feel like kind of point in the direction of sleeping beauty. Thought honestly I’m still happily stumped. I agree I like the tree decorations, but I would prefer more beads and decorations to put on our crochet instead.
@@bluejemm Ah that makes sense! As soon as I saw the key I thought Hansel and Gretel but You thoughts on Secret Garden have me thinking too! I like you am happily stumped. The colour palette this year is right up my street 😍 It's a difficult one. I am happy but I also totally understand why some people aren't.
You brought some beautiful yarn and fiber at the yarn show 😊. I’m glad you had a lovely time 🎄 x
Sometimes its good to enjoy an event through your eyes only and not through a camera lens.
