Great video! Very helpful. Tip: 1:49 tie a piece of string around the power plugs and tape the string to the frame. This way you can shove the power plugs back down the hole out of the way and still get them back.
Hey I gotta ask why did you have to replace the hinge? My door opened up and wind grabbed it and flung it open and the spring over extended popping the funny shaped door stopper out of adjustment and then the door was stuck open all the way. I had to use a pry bar to compress spring to pop it back on the roller so door would close but now it pops open and does every time I open too far. Is this what happened to you?
Hi Jim, I have a 2008 Jeep Compass with this same problem. I forced the door to close and the door check broke don't know where it fell. I am looking for the whole part but I cannot find it online. I am typing "door latch assembly" is this correct? Thanks so much for the video and I would appreciate all comments.

Awesome, my door just got stuck open. Popped the spring out so it closes now...hinge replacement coming soon.
