  • Breakdancing debuted at the 2024 Olympics, and many observers noticed the performances were diluted versions of moves that came from Black culture. The fascinating history of breakdancing is deeper than you think. #pushblack #blackhistory

The oldest breakdancing vid i've seen was a grainy, early 1900s footage of a young Black man breaking on what looked like a piece of cardboard. The cardboard sat in a dirt yard in front of a ramshackle dwelling. That young cat was doing the dang thang! If i can it, i'll post a link (and if you or any of your viewers find it, please share). Despite the temptation to say break originated in the old and ugly south there are available vids of Africans breaking in 1950s Kenya. So i guess breaking was less created in the Bronx than it was rediscovered by someone who had his (or her!) ear whispered into by an ancestral spirit

Without humility, some people can not learn anymore. They just emulate out of context.

The black family is bigger than America. Afro hair food and culture connects black people around the world.
Wise black people in the Caribbean or Africa .Admire black people in America like lewis latimer and Granville t Woods. And Dr Khalid Muhammad and Muhammad ali Ben Carlson And Tupac and harriet Tubman
Because we are too intelligent to hate black people because they come from a different place.
We respect all people but we love our straight black culture and our afro hair and black on black love. 🧔🏿👩🏾‍🦱

You are so right, but the zulu nation used to be a gang called the black spades out of the Bronx River projects, and they had battles with the savage skulls and the 5 percenters, and I'm sorry to say this, but those break dancers in the Olympics were a joke, because if they were dancing like that right now in the Bronx, they'll be laughed at
