I used to think that for movies, whenever they showed the character as a child and then later as like an adult, the producers/directors of the film would use the same actor, and would make the actor's parents sign a 'life' contract for that actor, e.g. "you have to let us film your son for this scene when he is seven, and then you have to promise to bring him back to film this other scene when he is twenty"... does that make sense? haha
When I was younger, I didnt realize that the moon orbited the Earth. Whenever I was in my moms car on the highway, I thought that the moon followed us home which was why I could see it when I left my grandparents house and when i arrived home.
Wow, you have blown me away with all of you wisdom. Like honestly, I have binged watched a lot of your videos and I can't get over how... amazing you are! Your so intelligent and beautiful! (Notice the order there) I think it is far more beautiful to be intelligent and interesting then just a pretty face, and you seriously have it all!
I used to actually think that when actors died in movies, they died in real life. When they'd showed up in other movies, I just figured that they went to the hospital and were revived somehow, regardless of how gruesome their death.
I used to think that my parents never slept, because each time they looked like they were sleeping and I said their names, they would be awake. I realized now that's just how many parents work, and that even they need sleep, but would put the needs of their children above sleep at any time.
As a kid, when my parents would tell us not to sit too close to the TV, I used to think it's because we'd fall in or be pulled into it by the people on the screen.
I loved this. Thanks for giving youtube some food for thought and helping us all feel a little less silly for things we may have believed (or still do!). :)
I used to think that getting bad grades was like a sin or illegal. Which is why I tried really hard and would get shocked when ppl were like, "Eff it I don't care." I would be like, "WHAAA???"
when I was a kid I used to think that the bank was a fantastical place with magic boxes that magically multiply money. I wanted my mom to take me to the bank to drop off a quarter so I could have millions by the end of the week...I blame mary Poppins
1. When I was younger (up until the age of fourteen & because I grew up in the middle east) I thought sex only involved literally sleeping together and that the worst kind of people took it to the next level and lied on top of one another for pleasure. 2. When I was little I used to think I would grow up and be a surgeon, lawyer, pianist and run an animal shelter all at once. 3. I used to truly 100% believe I could talk to animals and in my mind I would imagine the answers they would give me and have conversations with my dogs for hours on end, just laying in a field with them while they were watching out livestock 4. I used to believe I had suppressed superhuman powers like telekinesis and teleportation and all I had to do was push myself to extreme danger in order to provoke their appearance. So I would play in cliffs and approach wild horses closely or poke into wolves dens, thinking if I was in enough danger, I would suddenly teleport. But instinct would always drive me out of the situation.
When I was very little I saw the movie Little Buddha and was introduced to the concept of reincarnation. I took the idea of reincarnation to the extreme and thought that every single object in our world was a soul reincarnate. This made trips to the bathroom some what nerve racking. I thought every individual square of toilet paper was a person. So I was very sparing with my use of toilet paper and would actually apologize to the toilet paper I was using. So yeah.....
When I was younger, I used to think that life was simple. Having a house, a car, a husband, children, all those things would come easily & naturally. Because I thought I can do it all on my own & really disliked authority, I left home when I was 16. Now at 31, in retrospect I know that life is & can be simple, but it's also really really REALLY hard. Life is all about work. Working to survive. Working for a house. Working for a car. Working for a happy healthy relationship. There's needs & wants. The basic needs we need, are simple, but it's really hard to achieve & maintain them. And honestly, I'm lazy. I'm tired of working everyday & I really don't want to work this hard. But sometimes, most times you have to do what you don't want to do. Cassie- I just spent the last 2 hours watching your videos. I ready admire your intelligence, tenacity, perseverance & your positive outlook. Your a beautiful girl with very admirable qualities. I thoroughly enjoy watching you, learning from you. Side note- you have the cutest most adorable nose. Honestly, I thought you had plastic surgery. But you said your nose is from your Malaysian heritage. Most Singaporeans I know & have seen, have a inherited Asian nose with a low flat bridge & kinda wide set nostrils. But yours is super cute! Anyway... thank you for sharing your life with us here on the Tube. Again, I really enjoy watching you & I pray you are blessed more abundantly and exceedingly above all that you may ask or think. Shoot for the stars. Ciao.
As a child, I used to think there was some mysterious invisible watcher of all my doings; some type of Big Brother setup, so I would talk, act, & do things in such a way as to demonstrate how I do this or do that, like my entire life was one long instructional video lol This lasted from about age 7-11... Yeah, I guess I had a big weird imagination because I was an only child & played by myself most of the time lol Happy to report I grew up to be quite a balanced human being though hehe :) Who knows, maybe I knew way back then that I wanted to do something like getting into RUclips... lol
Ha ha that's awesome :D I was similar - I thought that all people in pictures could see me... so I'd hide from picture frames and photos or turn them face down when getting changed and such lol! No idea where that came from ^^
Hi kassie, I'm a new subscriber, but I have to say I'm a fan!! I stumbled along your channel through my research for organic and natural living. However, your other videos... Draw my life and I always thought, are ranked as some of my favorites! I'm on a quest for happiness, and self understanding. And I just want to say thanks. You're witty and smart and I like the way you relate things. They are important and helpful in a way that haven't been able to find. I'm so inspired to keep going down this path and hopefully be as informative and friendly. So that's all for now.. Jazi ❤
Your opinions are beautiful! I completely agree with your comment on what job you think you'll do versus what you end up doing. I went three years in college before i realized i wanted to be a teacher and it took me 4ish years to find something i loved as much as the idea of teaching.
Beautifully shot and inspiring video. I love how you mix serious and funny things :) I always thought that the news presenter on TV could see me and I hid behind the couch because I was afraid they would talk to me. I never believed in Santa like other kids. In Germany we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve and a lot of families have Santa show up and give out presents to the kids. We always had our friend's neighbor come over in full costume and my parents paid him. We did believe in old-man-white-beard-at-the-north-pole Santa but our parents told us that he's so busy that he has thousands of helpers who fill in for him and we never questioned that.
When I was a kid watching TV, I thought if I turned off the TV, I could turn it back on in the morning and pick up in the show right where I left off. I also thought what was on TV at my house was not on at anyone else's.
I always thought that the reason I watch RUclips is because it's funny, but when truthfully, it's because people like you have such an influence on others opinion in good way that changes people with depressions emotions or just make people happy. Love you Kassie 😘
I love your 'lower voice' so much. It feels as if theres so much more YOU in it. ! One thing that i learned that kind of attaches to what you said about choosing profession etc: not only are there plenty of variables, also you often don't know what's growing inside of you, who you're growing into and later it might seem, a profession/occupation chose you. And even more important: we are not becoming someone, we ARE someone. (Still have to remind myself of this every day...) Love from Germany
Great video so cute. I was a weird little kid I thought that whenever my parents and I drove anywhere we were in a race with whatever cars we encountered.
Love how you did this video, Cassie! Terry is hilarious in the background. I used to literally think my dad was THE smartest man in the world and knew EVERYTHING. :)
I'm really happy that after all the things in your life, you still carry on. I'm only 14 and i'm not fully grown yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm hoping to grow up like you and be joyful even though its been rough in the past.
This video sends an absolutely amazing message and statement... I love all your videos but this one is definitely one of my favorite so far! Was a nice present on my birthday :)
Thank you for this video Kassie :) Watching you is life-affirming, so thank you for what you share. When I was little my mum said that if you whistle at night witches come :/ I seriously put deep thought and consideration in to it when I was little, and I'm pretty sure I knew there was not much substance to the claim but that slight chance that it could be true was enough to put me off whistling at night haha. Thank you again for the video. It is great and the effort is much appreciated xx
When I was a kid I thought that old people saw in black and white when they were kids because the pictures of them as children were in black and white. I wouldn't eat sunflower seeds as a kid because I didn't want to grow a sunflower in my stomach. :)
Having a healthy doubt towards everything is good. Being open for other ideas and opinions is priceless. Cute blue hat and we got to see Terry play Pokemon Yellow. Awesome video
I used to think that everything our family did (like the movies we watched, the food we ate, etc) was very weird and no one did it. Then I was told by a friend at lunch one day,"My dad makes homemade pizza." I thought they were related to me (XD I was in first grade), but they thought I was a freak and moved the year after.. :(
Omggg I literally just watched all of your vids. I'm such a big fan like I can even explain how much u have helped me with all my mistakes and miseries. U inspired me so much and helped me so much and I just want to thank you for that. So thanks so much;)

Such a great video and cool idea! It is very interesting the things we are told or just think we know to be true, whether from parents' white lies during childhood or our own assumptions throughout life!
When I was younger and I thought every actor who played twins on tv or in movies was a twin in real life. Turns out most of them was just the one actor was playing both roles and it was all a part of how the producers shot the scenes...😬
I love this. Could you do a video on "I wish I could tell my teenage self" I'm going through a hard time with highschool. Pressures. Not fitting in. Boys. Boys. Boys. And figuring out who you are
When I was a kid, I use to think what if my whole life was a movie and tht it was big secret no one else was telling me about. Tht at any moment someone was going to come out of no where and say cut!
I love your makeup here!! I was wondering if there was any way you could create a video talking about organic cosmetic/beauty brands?? Though I feel inspired to start using products that avoid harmful ingredients, it's a bit difficult knowing where to start looking. Just a suggestion though as I know being a student can be quite demanding and impose time constraints! Thanks for your videos!! ^.^
for real people, it makes sense to me that it should be herb...not errrrb. We say "her" "human", "hamster" and pronounce the "h" each time. Errb sounds like an american mispronunciation that stuck haha
I absolutely love your videos! I'm vegetarian and love beauty/ makeup, but most beauty gurus don't use any natural products! Seriously, you are my favorite beauty guru!
When I was a kid, I used to think that the singers were actually *in* the speakers! LOL... I just found your channel and I have to say... I LOVE IT! Finally I found someone who I agree with food-wise.... Keep it up!
Very cool!! My dad told me there was a baby pond with lots of babies and dinosaurs in it. Then one would get fished out and allocated to some lovely people. This is how babies are made. I told this story in primary school. Thanks dad!
What a brilliant idea! I'm totally going to do this on my channel as well. I had so many funny beliefs when I was a child and even in my early adulthood. My husband challenged a lot of them. Our favourite one is: don't take a bath after eating, your guts will flip and you'll die! :-) I can't even tell you how many swims I lost out in my life because of that. What the heck? That's a total myth, by the way. My parents and sister are still convinced it's true! :-)
I used to think that when someone moved to a new house they just traded houses with the person buying it. I also thought the postal service was a complex system of tubes underground that delivered mail from one post office to another.
I also used to think there was a divide between good and bad people. I think a lot of people still feel that way. But in reality people just have different traits.
I used to think that for movies, whenever they showed the character as a child and then later as like an adult, the producers/directors of the film would use the same actor, and would make the actor's parents sign a 'life' contract for that actor, e.g. "you have to let us film your son for this scene when he is seven, and then you have to promise to bring him back to film this other scene when he is twenty"... does that make sense? haha
oh my gosh I used to think this too!!!
OMG ME TOO
a little late but me too
SAME!!!
Same omg 😄
Your childhood anecdotes in the comments are so funny! Please keep 'em coming =].
were the "screenshots" of the "rude comments" real because they all had odd names and Terry as the profile picture LMAO
When I was younger, I didnt realize that the moon orbited the Earth. Whenever I was in my moms car on the highway, I thought that the moon followed us home which was why I could see it when I left my grandparents house and when i arrived home.
mexicanttouchthis Hahaha a lot of them were hyperboles of actual comments, I didn't want to single anyone out :P
+Laura Donnelly THAT'S WHAT MY OLDER BROTHER THOUGHT WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER, he is like, 33 now....I am 10
holy cow Kassie your voice is deeper now and OMG TERRY BEFORE

This was so cute and so well filmed!

love this video, very original and well done! I always thought that traffic was caused by old people driving next to each other very slowly :)
"don't be entitled children" you're a positive role model :) xx
What a unique idea for a video! All of your videos are really different than a lot of the other stuff on youtube.
I used think people could float on clouds if they fell out of a plane.
I used to think you could taste clouds, and they would feel and taste similar to cotton candy. lol.
When I was a kid I used to think that to get rid of your bangs, you cut them up to your hairline. I learned that the hard way...
When i was a kid, i actually believed that if I thought about Jonathan Taylor Thomas enough, he would telepathically think about me too.
***** That's an amazing technique. I used to think that if I had a dream about a guy that he had it too. I was embarrassed.
I loved this. Thanks for giving youtube some food for thought and helping us all feel a little less silly for things we may have believed (or still do!). :)

This is AMAZING! I think I'll film one of these as well! Such an amazing idea girl!

Guess what's my profession? :D
I used to think cartoons in general were real people and all the crazy things they could do with their bodies were talents
0:56 I think that all the time about myself too! Sadly, I found that out way too early.

love this! i wanna do this!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH !!!! i love your perspective on the world! how it was and how it is now.
I really love this vid. Very creative. Do more like this, please.
Hahaha. Adults are just grown up kids. So true. I waited for years to feel like an adult and I still don't.
Haha, I longed for omniscience. It never came :P
I think this is one of my favorites videos you've made so far. Beautifully made. :)
Omggg I literally just watched all of your vids. I'm such a big fan like I can even explain how much u have helped me with all my mistakes and miseries. U inspired me so much and helped me so much and I just want to thank you for that. So thanks so much;)
When I was a kid I thought that credit cards just held an infinity amount of money and it wasn't debt.
This video is such a great idea! You're very creative and I enjoy your channel a lot. Thank you for sharing these on YT with us.
Your videos are always so ingenious! Loved this one too!
You always ALWAYS inspire me, Kassie. Thank you.
I wish there were more people like you in the world! Love you, love your videos. Thanks and keep up the great work!!!
I remember the day I discovered a blowdryer and my dad was so annoyed by the noise he said that the blowdryer cost 5 dollars for every minute that you have it turned on so I would never turn it on LOL
This is such a creative video. As always, loved watching :) Your personality always shines through and I love it!
So I only found your youtube channel about 2 weeks ago and have already watched all your videos. Thanks for continuing to upload them, you are great!
P.S I was also convinced pokemon were real
I found you through your draw my life video and that was so inspirational. I always lived and grew up in NYC and we're a big melting pot. I have mixed cousins (Italian/Chinese, Chinese/Puerto Rican) and I always wished I were mixed too. You're beautiful!
Thank you so much, I'm sure you're unique and beautiful too!
Thanks Kassie, it means so much for you to reply :) Do you speak other languages?
Oh and a lot of what you said I could relate especially with thinking people will like you over time! Lol great video!
Such a cute video! :) I love the editing on it. And a great way to bring awareness to our ignorance and misconceptions. :)
Really nice video and great way of filming I loved it! Thank you Kassie you are amazing. This video made a great start of the day!
Boys. Boys. Boys. And figuring out who you are
You are absolutely incredible and so refreshingly real.
You opened up my mind
I used to think the moon was made of cheese..

Three words: I. Love. You! :)
Brilliant!! Original and well made.. I just love your videos and this one is truly exceptional! 😘❤️😊

Thank you so much
This video was awesome! You are a pleasure to watch Kassie. Keep up the great work :)
Great video! It really got me thinking! And great camera angles and editing as usual😄
love how you filmed all this in different places
I love this video so much. Its different than most I've seen especially from your videos!
I kind of want to do a video like this now :)
Yes me too! I think this should/could be a tag video
Love this video! :)
When I was younger and travelled from borough to borough on the London underground, I used to tHink I was travelling to different countries.
Terry & your dog in the background !!! Too funny :D great video & very inspiring. I has similar ideas to you especially the spider one
When I was a kid, I used to think that the singers were actually *in* the speakers! LOL... I just found your channel and I have to say... I LOVE IT! Finally I found someone who I agree with food-wise.... Keep it up!

Oh my goodness this was so cute. I always thought when I was little that I could impersonate any singer's voice flawlessly.. nope. Not at all.
Great video! Dark hair suits you soooo much!! :)
Thank you!! =]
I look up to you Kassie. Thank you for taking the time to make this.
Terry in the background just chillin. LOL.
I seriously love your personality, your hilarious!
I always thought that married couples in the 50's actually slept in separate twin beds. Like they showed in I Love Lucy for example.
I feel like every human will benefit from watching this. That is all.
Well done guys!)))really cool production!
This is one of the best videos I have seen in a long time, thanks!!!
I also used to think there was a divide between good and bad people. I think a lot of people still feel that way. But in reality people just have different traits.
That's right always be open to learn new things.
