I'd like to see something with blood paints like Blood For The Blood God used in a basing creation or using clear UV resin but with your take on it. Really enjoyed the simple nature of this. Changing the color from Moot green would seem simple enough.
I already really enjoy your awesome contrast painting guides, and seeing you more also doing basing is icing on the cake! I’d love to see more basing guides!
The most common tool is from GW, it's a spatula shaped tool. I think it is clumsy and can't get texture paint into small areas, especially around a model's feet. An old brush is way better. The other specialty supply I refer to is "Nurgle's Rot", a technical paint from GW. It's similar to the green varnish I mixed up.
Wonderful tutorial, sir, thank you! I'll be using your technique to base my Great Unclean One! Question for you... did you thin down the Averland Sunset before you applied it? I can't tell from the vid but it looks kinda straight from the pot?
Blue puddles for water or a swampy base. I still have a swamp base project in mind for a certain model, and I'm wondering how I can make the best swamp-looking base
It's a little complicated, I'll have to film a video some time. I think that would be the best way to show the process. Maybe I can do a Plaguebearer in those colors. Thanks for watching!
there are lots of different ways, from epoxy resin to varnish. You could do something similar to the base in this video, and just paint the puddles blue first instead of yellow, and use clear varnish on top. Good luck!
Bases for all the 4 chaos gods ! Khorne is up next with the blood pool idea! :D
I like your thinking!

UV resin would be fun to play around with!

Thanks! I'm glad you like everything. I'll have more basing guides in the future!
Great timing. I was just looking for some nurgle basing tutorials yesterday.
Awesome! Hope it works out for your army!
Looks suitably blighted and decayed. Thanks Mr. Matt.
Thanks for watching Shane!
Always good to see more basing ideas to get some ideas! I love the idea for trying out pools for blood, it's tricky to get it looking right often.
I'll have to do some testing and I'll report back!
Seraphon/Lizardmen jungle bases are also worth watching. Thank you for your great content!
Good idea! Thanks for watching!
Yeah! Would love to see more bases! Esp bloody ones for the blood god!
I really enjoyed your basing video. I mostly make dnd miniatures so I’m “inclusive” or non mini specific.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lots more to come in the future!
Not only we would love to see red paint mixed, but I would like you to try to use some black too for like oil / tar looks!
That's a great idea!
Another fantastic tutorial!
Thanks for watching!
Looks great! Have you done snow bases on the channel yet? Cant remember if you have or not, but I'd love to see how you handle that look.
Thanks! Haven't filmed snow bases yet but that's a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
Ah perfect timing, I have like 20 plague marines I need to base.
Awesome! Hope they turn out great!
Cool! What are the specialist texture paint for tools you refer to?

Thanks! Glad it was helpful to you. I used the paint straight out of the pot, but you could thin it and paint a few coats if you like.

I bet some browns and olive green for the water would look good!
How'd you paint the rotigus?

How do you make normal Water for Bases?

Thank you 😊
Yesssssssssssss 🎉
I find doing the initial base color with contrast paint to be sooo much faster to not only apply, but also less dry brushing highlights. Great video!
Good idea! I remember using brown ink for bases/sand back in the day. Very similar kind of effect.
