Preston Innovations DF30 Jacket Review

Design flaw or no big deal? It's like a lottery for waterproof jackets, they all have pros and cons but you don't ever find out until you've owned one and used it for a season at least. This is my review of the Preston DF30 jacket and I've owned it for about 18 months now.

I got a barbed hook stuck in them and had to cut it out. I was miffed off! Took them to be repaired and get another season out of them. I tend to check the weather to not get caught in the rain when fishing but I know I’ll be protected if I am.

Wash with Nikwax TECH WASH and TX DIRECT once a year, water will bead off like new 👍🏼. I use on all my waterproof gear from Army surplus to Schoffel jackets

After using the wash can you put the jacket into the dryer?

If I had a dryer I would do as it activates the waterproof material again.

Ref adding fleece strips on the collar, do you want a soggy chin? and those handsome chaps (🫣) you often see in fishing gear that have designer stubble are going to have loose bits of fleece stuck to their chin 😂.

New 3DF jacket out now but i kinda prefer the older design, but i own neither

It is good gear, don't need it often but when i do i'm glad to have it

I was looking at the preston gillet & noticed it uses a high watt power bank & it got me looking online & they are much cheeper & i can use my 5watt 10wat bank
