I am now 82 yrs. old and my mom sat me down and
gave me the talk. Was so good at explaining.
She didn't want me to learn from other kids.
My school during those years didn't teach anything about
puberty.
I did the same for my children.
Times have sure changed.
My mom just gave me the pamphlets and that was it. I shared with a friend.
I never got the talk at school or at home!
Ladies, my friends dared me to ask my mom in the fifth grade. I did. I was popular that week . That was 50 years ago.
Um.... is my child weird? He asked me how the sperm got to the egg at age THREE! I was like... "Well, I guess we're going there!" I told him the mechanics of it (yes, the p goes in the v, information), and the look on his face was priceless. hhahaha! I suppose I just have a super inquisitive kid and I'm not shy about it. He knew all that stuff WAY before they covered it in school (5th grade, if anyone is wondering). I'd so much rather he get the talk from me than a teacher (who, btw, literally just read the textbook because she was too embarrassed to talk about it! How sad!).
