Excellent presentation, as is always the case. Thank you for deciding to discuss this work specifically. Very much appreciated. Shavua Tov!

Thank you!
Very interesting story.Thank you for sharing! Waiting for your next video.
So nice of you
R' Yaakov wrote a work on the Tur Yoreh Deah, quoted by the Beis Yosef. Recently part has been published by Machon Hamaor but not the entire work, which is not extant but may be rediscovered in the future.
Interesting
Always clear and amazing!!❤❤❤
Thank you for your excellent content. I was wondering would you be able to do a talk on Spinoza and reconciliation (if any) with current Jewish thought?
Poke around my channel, you will find a few lectures here and there on that topic.
@@HenryAbramsonPhD thank you found it!
Thank you 🙏🏻!!
Another great sage born in Zamorah ,and that worked in the decades leading up to the expulsion ,was R’ Yitzchak ben Moshe Arama the Ba'al 'Aḳedah.
R’ Yosef Albo the Ba’al Ha’Ikarim also lived at this time .
One gets the sense of what these great scholars were up against as their main work were unlike their predecessors such as the Ro”sh , Rash”ba , Ritv”a and finally the R”an and his student the Nimmuḳei Yosef .The Rabbis running up to the 1391 pogroms elucidated on the depths of the Talmudic discourse. They on the other hand in the century leading up to the expulsion focused on theology, drasha and mussar.
Even the teacher of all post pogrom Rabbis , R’ Chisdai Crescas (who’s son was murdered in the pogrom) left us only a work called ‘Or Hashem’ which deals with Jewish philosophy and tenants of faith. Another work called ביטול עקרי הנוצרים.
Thanks for the additional insight!
@@HenryAbramsonPhD There’s a really great work by R’ Yehdah Seewald on R Yitzchak Aramah
Just a question.. Is there a similar word as 'Yiddishkeit' in any of the Mizrachi / Sephardi languages? Ladino, Judeo-Persian etc..
Valeu!
Thank you for supporting the research!
