Jackie's first tv series was "The Life Of Riley"..which was not successful and it was quickly taken off the air("The Life Of Riley"returned with the original performer from the radio version of the series:Willam Bendix reprising the role of "Chester A.Riley")..his first really successful tv series was"The Cavalacade Of Stars"on The Dumount TV Network..it only lasted one season(1951)..but..when he left Dumount and moved to The CBS TV Network a year later..Mr.Bill Paley(The co-founder and head of the network)gave Gleason total creative control of the program and Jackie Remained at CBS TV from 1952 to 1970.
