00:00 (TC: 23.46.01): Jackie Gleason and his classic JOE THE BARTENDER routine with Frank Fontaine as Crazy Guggenheim . Old world bar-tending speaking to and telling jokes to an off camera bar patron
01:15 (TC: 23.47.18): Gleason calls out Frank Fontaine (CRAZY GUGGENHEIM ) classic entrance.
Tells jokes and stories in his exaggerated voice and laugh
08:01 (TC: 23.54.04): FRANK FONTAINE - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles (live)
sung in a lovely baritone voice which contrasts his silly character's Приколы
I remember watching this when I was very little. This was my favorite segment.
This routine always worked. Gleason just had to react and it made "Crazy's" jokes even funnier. The song at the end made it a classic in TV.
I BARELY remember seeing this on TV weekends during the late 1950s- early 1960s. The Honeymooners was also a MUST-see back in the day!
I saw Frank Fontaine with my family at the Delaware State Fair around this time. Fontaine was well loved and gave a good show. Gleason's Saturday night show is a fond memory.
Funny skit.
He had a beautiful voice.
I'm a baritone and love to hear a special voice.
😂What a great TEAM! They were both so AMAZING!
Real Hollywood talent. Bless the old days.❤
Rest in peace of to both.🇺🇸😊☮️
Loved watching this skit back in the 60's when it was on.....Gleason was the best
Thank you for posting this segment of Joe the Bartender and Crazy Guggenheim. That closing segment never failed to leave the entire family laughing hysterically.
Over 60 years have passed and it is still just as hilarious!
😂
Priceless memories. May they both Rest In Peace, Amen!❤
Wouldn't it be NICE! That films like this goes from the Archive to now YOU TUBE . WOW
These two people were GENIUS AND I MISS THEM BOTH SO MUCH.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rest in peace to both .😢
Incredible how much joy I get watching this. It's been too long.
Thanks for the comment! We do have it. We will post it for you now @tapemaster. Enjoy!
Fondly remember Joe the bartender with Crazy G. I remember pouring my Dads beer at dinner time and sticking my fingers in it.
That must have been quite a movie old Crazy saw. Great video! Thank you.
Lots of great memories here from when I was 8. Frank Fontaine I almost forgot about, but he was great, and this skit, Jackie Gleason unselfishly let Fontaine had most of the laughs, and a great voice, I remember it, was from Miami Beach. Now, this is left to the ages, but what fun it was back then. Thank-you so much!
I was in the marine corps with Fontaines son Camp Lejeune 1963
My dad laughed his ass off watching these two, he loved Jackie Gleason
My dad love The Gleason Show from Miami. I was young but remember dad laughing at Joe the Bartender when he put his finger in the beer (every week). Dad could also do a great Crazy Guggenheim impersonation when he had a few.
"My Gal Sal" always teared me up as a tyke. Still does.
This era of decades without measure as it were, in the emergent time of television, none ever other prior to or evermore since be. Grateful for internets/ YT
I loved this show as a kid.
These two were great together. Miss this stuff.
There is an episode I have not seen since it aired and can't find it anywhere online.. After Crazy done his song he brought out his son(which I think was Frank Fontaine's real son). He had all of Crazy's mannerisms down pat and voice as well. You wouldn't happen to have that one do ya?

Just watched it. Hysterical!! Was the first episode where Crazy sang.
The seating was cavernous where this was taped. Gleason slamming his hand on the bar was an ""applause"" sign to the audience.
3 words...THE M00N ALICE!!!!
Hey! I resemble that remark.
