Someday you should make a supercut of the first minute of the intros to this series. It’s all comedic gold!
My daughter still says, "Whaddya say we hit 'em with a liddle a the ol' Uptown Toodeloo ~ know what I'm sayin'?"
Don't worry, I didn't let her hear the heroin reference - lol
Yes. However it will need to be labelled as “Part One” 😂
Thank you Davvy!!!! Mayer said this was the hardest solo he ever had to learn. Appreciate your detailed lesson.
exciting to play along with and learn! love your videos
I love your lessons man!! Informative and delightfully entertained and sometimes a little naughty... keep up the solid work!
Bro, this is the first Grateful Dead song I'm learning and your video is so easy to understand the song. I thought it was complex but never the less I've learned it very quick. Thanks!
Christmas comes early! Thank you Davvy! Been waiting for this and Help. Time to batten down the hatches and figure this bastard out!
This was a nice gift and is very much appreciated! Happy Holidaze and Trails!
top notch. really enjoyed.
Thank you for all you do
This is so helpful🙌
yuuuusssssd davey !!!!!!! you the man
Hey I just wanna say thank you so much for these videos, Ive learned more about guitar and music the past six months than since I started playing in 2018. The structure of your videos make them easy to jump in, learn a song, and take notes on a whim. I only found the Grateful Dead and the jamband scene last spring(I started guitar for thrash metal, sabbath, hendrix, PF), and never would I have imagined being able to play along and jam and actually have an understanding of what I am playing so soon. I missed feeling that constant need to play like I did when I first started. Much love❤️🌹⚡️
Davvy... pure wizardry. Thanks bro... i will follow you to the mists of avalon...
Gracias, Davvid.
Sir, you make me laugh and I needed it. And way to make folks see those arpeggios whether they like it or not...
thank you sir this lesson hotw/slip/franklins has really improved my playing understanding of guitar greetings from murfreeesboro tenn
Comedy gold my man!
Legit spit out my coffee at the start of the vid, nice job
Love it, thanks dude... this is totally a Dead Zone , love and peace ✌ ❤
you are freaking hilarious. thanks for Built to last. made me cry
Yo the intro had me cracking up! "This is embarrassing" straight up
Looking forward to watching this later. There’s a lot to remember with this tune, but I never found it terribly difficult to play alone. But playing with a band the timing can give you fits. In an online conversation about the tune with Steve Kimock he said he felt the same and that he kinda tunes out the band and, as he put it, “finger wags” his way through it. In other words, don’t get too hung up on counting. 😂
Finally able to play the outro, thank you for your help with this, btw what is the guitar you're playing here,?
At the beginning of your videos, you should combine all the different parts into one clip so we can hear what the full song should sound like and get a good idea of what we are getting ourselves into.
Thanks man I like the content
Thanks for the lesson. Do any of your other videos include a demo of that midi attachment? I’m considering getting one of those but I want to see a demo in the context of the Dead/Jerry
I have not made a video yet, but I play it quite a bit in my live chill and jams. I can do a video on it in the new year.
@@TobyDavvy thanks, I’d appreciate that!
Nice intro!
thanks for a slipknot lesson! Quick question. 23:27 is the beginning of the jam, and the walkups at 23:52 are at the end. what are bob's chords all throughout the jams in the studio version?
I don’t know specifically what he’s doing, but it’ll be all relative chords to Am. Like Am, G, Bm, C major….it all works.
Isn’t there a big D maj chord then Am going back to the riff at the end of Slipknot?
"and this is like a diminished run, so i'm proud of you" lmao!
That intro was hilarious
epic. can't believe he fucking did it.
If you like these videos go buy the course it’s just as awesome
19:49 😂
Yall had me goin...I was about to complain in this comment section that I don't think it's logically marketable for non other than u to teach slip knot...I was genuinely offended
MEDDL LOIDE.
davy du kaschperl, gedrolld wird ned.
Bhahahah😂
Save you time: jump to 5:00 to get past needless jabber.
Don’t listen to him. He wants you to miss the most important part. The needful jabber.
Buddy your merch game seems fucked, just a little maybe? I dunno. I bet it’s hard.
Just wish I could buy cool shit I like, to support and advertise.
My daughter still thinks the live shoutout was like the coolest sheet.
Love you man. I’m learning
You sound like my dentist. -talk up intro
