These took me back to the days when it didn't cost a bomb to watch it. As a Brit, hearing Dan Wheldon and Justin Wilson's names being mentioned brought a lump to my throat. Further actions and results brought tears to my eyes. Have a safe season everyone.
Great video. Been actively following Indycar soon after Grosjean had joined so haven't seen most of these clips yet. Thank you Also 0:55 what was Briscoe thinking here trying to turn into the apex like Tony wasn't there 😂
17:00 Together with the Barber race, Grosjean's best chance of winning in Indycar. Such a shame Mclaughlin made that mistake with the cold tyres which put them both out the fight for the win and ended Grosjean's race :(
6:15 Mayhem. Surprising this hasn't happened more often considering the current amount of full-time entrants. Ok it did happen last year but before that not really
Poor Wickens kept getting taken out by Andretti guys until Shunter Ready finished the job. Nothing will beat Helio in 2012. I'm also a huge McLaughlin fan but that move, pushing it so hard up the inside on cold tyres was never gonna work. Idiocy
13:35 This disappoints me every time I see it. Great chance for Wickens to win it until Rossi blew it just like Mclaughlin and crashed into Wickens. Though have to say that Wickens invited that move by not taking the inside line
You know what Indycar? I cba with any of your announced videos for watching back highlights from years ago. I get why you are trying to sell us the great racing that the series has to offer, cuz it's an actual fact which is lost on a lot of racefans unfortunately. You should be showing us footage of the teams HQ and their drivers and how they are preparing for the new season. And then start producing content on how the series is so good and interesting. Not by asking current drivers "What's In The Box", or worse. It's RACING ffs. That said, it's NOT the racing we saw XX years ago like you seemingly want to promote. Get with the times.

Dan was great I was in turn 3 of the Indy 500 for his second win
Nothing will top 2012. That truly started the healing process & the IndyCar Revolution.
helio climbing the fence to that streetsign will always be iconic
WHAT? I TRULY cannot believe that footage was from 2008. Quality at it's FINEST
Scotty mac is really fast here, hopefully he'll win this year
Honorable mention to Power v. Montoya in 2015. Also probably should've included something from the inaugural 2003 race.
Now that is best iconic Indycar drivers in history!🏎🏁
Good memories.
2020 race deserves to be there.
Indy Car Series, great moments in the sport!!!
When an anchor says “by no means this race is over” you can bet it’s over.
Finnnally...First IMSA..then yesterday WEC and now indy..superb

The radio style calling is so much easier on the ears, Lee Diffey just screams the entire race
Can't wait for next weekend.
Seeing Dan Welden Blvd fence climb was coolest ever
I miss Mike King :(
He’s my favorite IndyCar Radio reporter. His voice was amazing when it came to exciting and energetic moments!
My hometown Saint Petersburg aka da burg
RIP Dan Wheldon
Its crazy how the same drivers that was quick in 2002 are still racing in 2024!
11:16 the best moment! It's Dan Wheldon way!
Very cool highlights.
R.I.P Dan. C'est triste mais quand on vois l'accident c'est presque un miracle sauf pour Dan.
Finally, waited a long time to see best moments of each tracks!
I begrudge Rossi to this day about his move on Wickens. Booourns.

miss ryan briscoe
Can’t believe they raced those horrible dallaras for so long.

This retrospective really highlights how IRL then IndyCars got uglier and uglier from 1996 to 2017 before they finally fixed that.

Why doesn't iRacing have St. Petersburg?

I’ve been wanting to see IndyCar expand their content for years.
They’ve expanded some, but need to do more.
Also they’ve been doing spoke behind the scenes. Even Indy NXT’s RUclips channels and race teams’s RUclips channels.
