    Agree with pretty much everything minus the vrr. Just use ALLM without VRR. With VRR on 60FPS PS5 games don’t run at 60 fps they run between 40 and 58 and 120fps games run between 80 and 90 FPS some make it to 115 fps but with VRR off 120 FPS games are locked at 120 and 60 locked at 60 and ultra smooth with ALLM

      @@deckerzx it wouldn't run at native 4k 60fps without vrr anyway. It's usually the quality modes that run between 40 and 58 fps and performance modes for the other. 120fps without vrr would be worse than performance mode or won't even be a thing. In my case HDR has been not the best option. It makes my eyes strain, which makes my gaming uncomfortable. My living room TV (where I use the PS5) is really bright, and HDR automatically sets the brightness to 100%. I was able to modify the amount of brightness afterwards, although this isn’t normally possible. For example, in my PC, my monitor only supports HDR with 100% brightness, so I don’t use it. So, if your eyes strain like me, (even sitting far away from the TV) try turning HDR off.

      @vpau010 I am no way an expert on television technologies but I believe Nano Cell is in simple terms a 'souped up' LCD which would make it brighter than OLED.
      My PS5 is hooked up to our telly in the living room which is a 65" LG OLED CX. I'm not saying it's dull per se but I've never found it overly bright like I did the 65" Samsung QLED Q9FN we had before that.

    • @RayanDiaz-f2d
      @RayanDiaz-f2d 4 месяца назад

      No it's going to decrease the performance that's why you seeing you are lagging in random games if you set the resolution on automatic it will boost the performance because you're not putting more work to your hardware if you put it on automatic if you put it at the highest it will actually decrease the performance except to increase it if you put it on automatic it will boost the performance not decrease it because it will increase it depending on your TV or monitor

    • @ShiggyCompPt2
      @ShiggyCompPt2 4 месяца назад +1

      @@RayanDiaz-f2d render resolution≠display resolution. The console will still run the game at “4k” but will just shrink it down to your display resolution. It is not going to reduce stress or reduce input delay. In fact, it’s doing the opposite cuz it has to do another step. There are exceptions but the only one I’m aware of is like Spider-Man 2 which can run 1440p natively

    • @RayanDiaz-f2d
      @RayanDiaz-f2d 4 месяца назад

    I have a Sony X89J tv and when enabled the HDR mode just makes the screen too dark, crushes black levels and the overall picture is too dark even when set to maximum.

    Hey, if your TV only supports to 60 frames per second, I'm assuming it's better to turn off the 120 option? Or should I leave it on automatic? I'm guessing it doesn't make a difference? Even with having it on for 120 since I bought my PS5 there haven't been a single issue as far as I know. But I remember my screen went black for a few seconds a couple of times randomly but I don't know if it's because of that setting being on.

    • @ShiggyCompPt2
      @ShiggyCompPt2 4 месяца назад

      In my experience with a 4k 60hz tv, it drops down the display resolution to 1080p for 120hz when it goes black. Basically, a worse looking picture and im not even sure if you can actually see 120fps

    Mine gets mad with VRR, the screen is cut in half, the upper part of the image Is in lower part of the screen and lower in the upper.
    Not figured out why so far, TV Is of course supporting all VRR ALLM through HDMI 2.1 and I'm using a more expensive 2.1 cable.
    Xbox Series X works just fine with the same cable on the same TV.
    Swapping HDMI ports is useless, all 4 are 2.1 😅

    • @RedPillAlways
      @RedPillAlways Год назад

      I've never actually seen the picture flipped before. Now remember PlayStation is being half-ass with variable refresh rate(VRR) It ONLY supports HDMI VRR not Freesync VRR. There is a major difference. HDMI VRR doesn't work once the FPS drop below a certain FPS. I think it's in the 40s. So if you have an LG that has the game-mode bar make sure that you've got HDMI VRR Turned on... trust me I know PlayStation is being half-assed when it comes to Zen and RDNA 2 feature sets and its STUPID.
