    The Dornishman's wife was as fair as the sun,
    and her kisses were warmer than spring. But the Dornishman's blade was made of black steel,
    and its kiss was a terrible thing. The Dornishman's wife would sing as she bathed,
    in a voice that was sweet as a peach, But the Dornishman's blade had a song of its own,
    and a bite sharp and cold as a leech. As he lay on the ground with the darkness around,
    and the taste of his blood on his tongue, His brothers knelt by him and prayed him a prayer,
    and he smiled and he laughed and he sung, "Brothers, oh brothers, my days here are done,
    the Dornishman's taken my life, But what does it matter, for all men must die,
    and I've tasted the Dornishman's wife!

    This is the best version because has a very medieval feel, like a bard song but also is happy and cheerfully, especially in the end. It's a perfect balance.
    Only, the piano doesn't fit with this time, but the rest of the instruments and melody are nice and the singer has a good voice.
    I loved the ending where everybody started singing while clapping their hands, it reminds me of a group of adventurers around the fire cheering.
    By far, the BEST version of them all.

    Best Version, no doubt about it. Perfectly catches the mood of the whole "Dornish-Arc".

      But this is really the best version, hands down and thus Honor to whom honor is due. :-)
      (or should i say Hodor to whom Hodor is due? Okay... that was a bad one).
      And the point regarding the end was by know means some sort of criticism but merely an observation based on by own personal taste.
      If i may be so bold to say this as a non-musician / non-singer: you're doing a fantastic job and definitely deserve more subscribers.

    • @Yunck
      @Yunck  7 лет назад

      Haha, careful; it's best to "hold the door" against such bad jokes! ;)
      Don't worry, I know you were only sharing your own opinion on the ending. I'm always to happy to hear such perspectives, since they help me grow as an artist.

      His version did have a somewhat similar rhythm to it, which I found interesting; it's as if the lyrics naturally suggested that sort of feel, and both me and whoever wrote the show version thus gravitated in that same direction. Or, maybe they heard mine and sorta stole it, who knows ;)

    I love that song so much that it convinced me to go back to guitar practice just to play it ^^
    The thing is, I know the chords are Emin Amin Emin D G D Emin Emin, but what are the notes between them?
    Because in this rendition, it goes EMin, 2 notes, A min and so on, is there a way to know what notes are used between chords?
    Sorry, I'm a bit of a beginner ^^

    • @Yunck
      @Yunck  6 лет назад +1

    • @anaiscardot6674
      @anaiscardot6674 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks a lot :)
      I'm talking about the piano notes in the intro :) when it goes chords, two solo notes, chords, two solo notes and so on :)
      I thought that maybe they were some notes from the chords, but I'm not so sure (sorry, english isn't my mothertongue :s )

    • @Yunck
      @Yunck  6 лет назад +2

      Gotcha :)
      Those notes do go in and out of the chords a bit, as a way to lead into the next one. I think of it all as being a continuous melody, which just happens to include chords along with certain notes. So, when the E minor is being played, the B on the top of that chord is also part of the melody; then when the A minor is being played, the C on the top is also part of the melody. The in-between notes are almost always a pattern of going to a note that's one step away from the melody note in the chord, and then back to that same melody note. For the E minor, where the melody note is B, the in-between notes are A and then B; that leads into the C, which is the melody note on the next chord. I could go through and tell you the rest, but I encourage you to take a stab at working it out on your own! It may be very tricky at first, but the more notes and melodies you figure out by ear, the more things will start to click and the easier it will get. Trust me, this is a fantastic way to build up your overall sense of musicality, and becomes highly rewarding.
      Hope that all makes sense! If it's not clear, or if you're still stumped with it, let me know and I'll try to clarify things.
      Also, your English is great, I can understand you just fine! I certainly can't speak any other languages with that kind of proficiency :)

      @@Yunck That would be so cool if you do get them on Spotify! I'm making an ASOIAF playlist right now, but all the best songs are on RUclips. Will you pick one version per song or would you upload all the songs you've done (original, EP, acoustic)? And are you planning on doing your own version of Jenny of Oldstones, The Bear and the Maiden Fair and/or My Featherbed?

    • @Yunck
      @Yunck  4 года назад +2

      @@WonderGirl4444 My plan is to compile *all* the ASOIAF-related material I've done - possibly including my covers of the show opening theme and show version of Rains of Castamere, but definitely including all the versions I've done of my own renditions (the original youtube vids, the EP versions, and the acoustic versions) - and re-release that as simply "the songs of ice and fire", dropping the "EP" monicker and considering it a full-fledged album since it'll have so much material on it.
      Now that I think about it, it would be a lot cooler to also have something *new* for that release, so, I may well tackle Jenny of Oldstones and/or My Featherbed! I've been meaning to do a cover of The Night King, too (which, again, might or might not make it onto said album). I was always reluctant to do The Bear and the Maiden Fair, but now that I'm thinking about it again, I may actually have some ideas for it...
      Well, you've really gotten my gears turning here! :D thank you!

    La esposa del Dorniense era hermosa como el sol,
    y sus besos más suaves que el calor.
    Pero la hoja del Dorniense era hecha de acero negro,
    y su beso muy terrible fue.
    La esposa del Dorniense cantaba al bañarse,
    con una voz que era dulce como la uva.
    Pero la hoja del Dorniense ya tenía una canción,
    y un mordisco, frío como sanguijuela.
    Mientras yacía en el suelo con oscuridad alrededor,
    y el sabor de su sangre en su lengua.
    Sus hermanos se acercaron y rezaron por el,
    y sonrió y se rio y canto.
    "Hermanos, oh hermanos, mi final ya acecho,
    pues El ya acabo con mi vida.
    Pero que es lo que importa, muchos deberían morir,
    pues el amor al fin pude encontrar"
    Asi sería en español y espero que alguien lo cantara, trate de hacer que rime y que vaya pegado a la melodía, se escucha raro but al menos tiene un poco de sentido xd y pues bueno asi sería la cancion en español
