Was able to watch this in the venue. Insane mental toughness from zain, whole crowd cheering against him and he's down against bracket demon. Great improvement on his mental. Definitely coming with experience
@@OhGeeRonC he absolutely is that good. You can’t just get a 2-0 lead on Zain and not be a top player. Not sure where this criticism is coming from, he has plenty of really good tournament results
Jmook looked SO dominant in the first game and through Zain's first two stocks of Game 2, when he had only taken 20%. But then Zain activated some primal hunter mode, and commanded the rest of the game. A couple of overextensions on the edge prevented Zain from making the comeback in Game 2, but something just felt DIFFERENT starting with his third stock. Watching Jmook's play, it seemed to shake his confidence, and Zain pounced on that. Damn, I love watching these two play. They're pushing the Marth-Sheik meta ahead everytime they meet, and it's a delight. It just sucks that the loser of this set had to exit.
I've always done really well against Marth on FD as well. I feel like it reduces their mixups in neutral and sheiks punish is very strong here too. If you're a grounded sheik like Jmook and myself for the most part its actually a decent stage
honestly the problem is is that most marth's don't even play the stage well in the MU which makes them think that yoshi's is a better pick but still even without the juggles getting rid of the plats is still a good thing against sheik as platforms are one of sheik's best friends and she can struggle to get down from the juggles but most marth's actually have really bad sharking abilities they're just scared to admit it so a lot of the time sheik get's to come down for free even though marth can space a up air or up tilt that none of sheik's aerials beat ff or no ff but a lot of the time they miss it and get reversaled or they get traded
Not a choke...Zain stepped it up big time. He did the same to Axe, down 2-0 recently. You and the three people that liked your comment need to give credit to Zain instead of trying to denigrate Jmook.
I said this before and it finally happened: JMook was due for a bad loss. Not that i dont like the guy, but its probably something he needed to experience in order to become a true top player. Can he move on from this and come back stronger or will it be the beginning of a slump?

Zain's grit is improving, he reverse 3-0d Axe at Riptide and did the same in this set.
Gritty Zain is a terrifying prospect.
Even as a Zain fan, that's a heartbreaker for Jmook, just based on his reaction at the end.
He lost to IBDW and Zain, and only got 7th. It kind of proves the point that head-to-heads should matter in ranking, not just results.
people get reverse 3-0'd, it happens. Jmook needs to get familiar with that feeling of losing because he's not as good as everyone thinks.
