Lynz I really love your tutorials,. I’ve been making cakes for quite a while now, but now and again I need a bit of help and inspiration, you demonstrate so clearly and helpfully.
Gosh Lynz, you are brilliant at what you do. Always so pretty and beautifully done. I hope you earn a fortune from all the effort and time you dedicate to making such detailed beautiful cakes 👏🏻😊
Thank you, I am so glad you like the flowers. I do love making flowers, I love starting with some coloured gumpaste and trying to make them look as realistic as I can, its always so nice to see the flowers at the end. Thank you so much for watching.
Loved this video, and the flowers. I already have the cutter in my flowers cutters stash along with the veiner so I will be making some today. Thank you so much! I will be watching more of your video's. Thank you and Thumbs UP!
Cosmos are one of my favorite flowers. Hopefully I will be able to make some. One question: Cosmos have frilly green leaves, do you know of a way to make that also?
Omg you are so talented Liz I use all your tutorials love them I’m loving this cosmo going to try it tonight thank you so much for all your beautifull tutorials
Oh lynz these are super pretty, you explain how to do these so well even i could make them lol. ive made your filler flowers , going to try the roses tomorrow xx
Hi, Liz! Your tutorials are simply amazing. Making gumpaste flowers have become so much easier with your tutorials. Thank you so much. I have one question here. I have purchased leaf veiner board. Do I need to purchase a separate foam board or will the veiner board do the trick? Waiting for your reply ☺️
Hi Neelam, Thank you. I am so glad you like them and have found them helpful. In regards to the boards the veiner board is quite hard, so you will need more of a foam board to use with this to thin out the petals, as the foam allows you to push with your ball tall and for the gumpaste not to rip. I hope this helps.
just subscribed you... you deserve it... best tutorials on youtube everything in detail and yr british accent i love it i grew up there... but nevertheless all accents are good... love and hugs pls make tutorial on cherry blossom i make flowers w porcelain and the result is great... GOD BLESS U

Hi Sharmin, Once you have made the flowers you want to keep them just at room temperature, this way they will set solid. Gumpaste / floral paste should not be put in the fridge. It absorbs the moisture in the fridge and this is what causes it to melt. If your cake needs to be refrigerated then you want to add your flowers once it comes out of the fridge.
I just brush off as much as possible with a pastry brush and then knead the remaining in while softening it. The amount is so negligible that it won't alter the colour or consistency. Sorry, may have read your question wrong. I was assuming you had coated it for storage as some people do but I think you mean after rolling and applied to cake. Usually the smoothing action is enough to remove it but if not try lightly steaming it with a handheld steamer.
Thank you for the tutorial Lynz I've been successful with the cosmos except for inserting the stamens. Are your's wire. How are you able to get them into the centre so eaily?
Hi Lynne, I am so glad you like the tutorial. For the stamens they are not wires but seem to be like a wound paper (I'm not sure what they are made of). I find when I've just them a little longer than I need gripping them with tweezers close to the bottom really helps to push them in. Also make sure when you are pushing them in the gumpaste for the center of the flower is still soft as if its gone hard they will be really tricky to push in and will bend. I really hope this helps
Gumpaste es un poco mas duro y mas facil para hacer formas asi pero si no tienes tu puedes usar fondant Tambien, quiza con mas azucar impalpable para hacerlo un poco mas duro
Lynz, it’s stunning. I couldn’t wish for a better teacher. Thank you xxx

yes
After making flowers do you store it in refrigerator? My flowers start melting when I put out it from the fridge. What should I do?

Lo amarillo (yellow) que le colocan no sé que es, pero me gustó mucho el video.

Hi Lynz. How do you clean flower paste when it's been coloured white with cornflower for non sticking?
I just brush off as much as possible with a pastry brush and then knead the remaining in while softening it. The amount is so negligible that it won't alter the colour or consistency.
Sorry, may have read your question wrong. I was assuming you had coated it for storage as some people do but I think you mean after rolling and applied to cake. Usually the smoothing action is enough to remove it but if not try lightly steaming it with a handheld steamer.
