    I would want Oilers to hold onto picks/prospects unless it's for an actual difference making players. Leon and Connor locked in for next decade. Goal should be to make 5 finals the next decade like Tampa did, not just 1 and done.

    Should have kept Broberg. Oilers played Boston the other night. Bruins swimming in quicksand in the standings. Oilers looking for defense. How about Brandon Carlo? Right shot defenseman. 6-5 220. 28 years old. Oilers could use some size on defense too. Not sure about Carlo's contract in terms of cap hit or term. If they keeping struggling the Bruins might be looking for a little bit of a reset of their roster. Not much scoring after Pasta.

      Yes. With 9.25M cap room wasted on Nurse. He is a at best 4/5 D worth 2-3M, meaning he is overpaid by 6-7 M. Imagine what you can do with this cap room? 2 solid physical bottom 6 wingers and a strong backup goalie. That is why K. Holland is a sucker GM for the Oilers.

    Oiler brass - 3 Managers - THREE- had a chance to sign Holloway....3 times....missed....the least Bowman could have done was let Broberg go....bad blood there anyway with agent......but Holloway is on pace for 30 goals......Oiler management really screwed up bad. Past 3 managers - St Louis sports media cant believe the Blues luck landing the pair. Holloway was just a huge mistake. Crazy. Sure they have some cap space....but Holloway for 2.4M......very much worth it.....and give the excuse hindsight is 20/20 ....these managers are supposed to be hockey people....one word comes to mind for some of these managers .....EGO

Holloway was bamboozled and no one from the Oilers management talked to him letting him know of his long term plans…….Holloway is now a top six player and Broberg is a top four defenceman. Oilers management is back to making stupid moves! Put the koolaid down man!

    • @jesse1381
      @jesse1381 18 дней назад

      @@ramalama9030 Yes it is my take. You can't force guys to play in Edmonton who don't want to be here. Dany Heatley for example rejected a trade to come here. Chris Pronger's wife hated living in Edmonton and he wouldn't stay here either. Adam Larsson wanted to leave Edmonton for personal reasons over his father. There will always be players that just don't want to be here for whatever reason. Broberg is another guy that just wanted out of Edmonton. There was nothing we could do to keep him here against his will. They got Emberson who has played well for us so yeah not every issue requires pulling out the pitchforks on management over.
