    Congrats Vdrum Tips! I love seeing the evolution of your channel. Actually, from day 1, you were making professional videos. And I remember being astonished when you started that conversion series, I knew all the work that went into it. You make it look all look easy ;) here's to 20,000 🍷

    A very big thank you from Toledo Ohio. I couldn't have completed my acoustic to electric conversion without the help of your videos. And I wouldn't trade my kit for anything! So thank you very much

    This is my first comment to your videos, and I'm writing just to say thanks for what you did with this channel. You're right, a hi-quality channel dedicated to v-drums was missing before your came.
    I have to say I love to hear your voice and I think it is very pleasant to listen to! Even if I experienced the self-hate affair, you can be assured you have a really nice voice, so happy to have you on stage for audio also!
    As for the "wishlist", I'm a DIYer like you and what I'd REALLY like to see is a series of hi-quality disassembling/reassembling videos of quality stuff, like the new Alesis Strike Pro toms for example... it would be nice to learn about industry-level design patterns and solutions.
    Even videos about materials that showcase the physical/mechanical aspects (for example, how a bass-drum cushion behaves under compression, what the materials seems to be, etc...)
    Anyway I understand this is very costly, and no industry producer would send you free stuff for this type of endeavor, so... well, back dreaming about it ;)
    Keep up the great work!

    • @Vdrumtips1
      @Vdrumtips1  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for your nice words! Am I right that you want me to take apart stuff? I thought about a scientific mesh head test with a lever construction, measured mesh head tension and a slow-motion camera. Maybe that is something.

    • @stickgrinder
      @stickgrinder 7 лет назад

      Vdrum Tips yep, thinkin' about this kind of stuff. What mostly appeals to me is to get a taste of what kind of design and materials are used in industry.
      For example I wonder how soft/dense the r-drums decouplers are. Can I do something similar with neoprene sheets and a 30mm steel washer, just to say? What about the materials of foam cones? And the bass drum cushion?
      Your take on mesh heads is great also, most of all if you can map materials, mechanical parameters and the feeling when played.
      A bit too scientific, uh? =D Actually it would be a killer series, really helping DIYers, but maybe upsetting some honest seller who spent sound money in R&D, I guess...

    Dear Marcel, congrats for reaching 10,000 subscribers! It's so well deserved. It's not only about the pure amount of subs, but you probably helped much more people around the world with your videos and knowledge - including myself. And beside that, I got to know a good friend & I appreciate all the hours we talked in the past years: about e-drums, music, even politics. ;)
    The e-drum community may still be small, but you play a big role.
    (By the way: You should have shown yourself at least for the last sentence ;))

    Love your channel and website. You have been a great help in my understanding of edrums and how to use them in the setup.
    I also was one of those guys that hated edrums. 2011 I got the bug and was frustrated with my Yamaha. Sadly it's gone. But I am in the process of getting my own roland module

      I guess you use a CY-13. Make sure the cables are ok and connected to the right inputs. You might upgrade to a CY-15, it is much better.

    Congratulations! I hope you can discuss with Edrum Midi to Ipad
    I have a cheap Edrum (Hitmand HD10) and i connect it to my Ipad using DrumsXD app to give it a better sound , tho I'm having issue with the Hi Hat Control and Choke
    I hope you can help with this or any idea as many people cant use Drum Software or afford better module
    More power!

    • @Vdrumtips1
      @Vdrumtips1  7 лет назад +1

      I have an Ipad no. I can check if it works. The issues you experience are related to the kit itself. The cheap brands are simple not as good.
      The best way to afford a better module is to buy it used.
