One last tour of Arkansas' Pine Bluff High School in June 2024, before demolition

The Pine Bluff High School campus at 711 West 11th Avenue in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is shown in this June 2024 video. The site had its last major remodeling in 1975, when PBHS was one of Arkansas’ largest campuses in terms of enrollment. That version of the school resembled a college campus with multiple buildings, and it also had a skywalk, affectionately called the "catwalk," between the McGeorge and Patterson buildings.
Starting Monday, June 17, 2024, officials planned to take down 11 of the buildings: the Trice, McGeorge and Patterson classroom buildings; Trice Gym; arts center; cafeteria; McFadden Gymnasium; Student Center; JROTC; Dunaway Fieldhouse; and the old weight room. The "catwalk" will also come down; it hadn't been used in recent years because of its deteriorating condition.
Groundbreaking for the new Pine Bluff High School is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, on the front lawn of the campus.

My grandfather Ray Barraclough coached and taught there many many years was the AD there at one point.... many great childhood memories of this place!! Sad to see her go

What a beautiful place I pray that southern arkansas camden arkansas and past will rebuild a good infrastructure for the next generation in. School even a better moral culture and a good deep south transportation hub to keep the state nature can be with few new high unless mass transit not just in the north end west south Arkansas with good cooler and warm homes for the great American arkansas citizens camden arkansas hello no one mad except the devil don't want see good things for good arkansas and Calhoun prayers for you to all alumni from four corners come back and forth to put AK as a great place with the best work ethic and best morals behavior best education in the world live up
