    Just what I needed! I have a new inflatable SUP and am often in brackish water. Good to know how to care for my SUP and keep it in good shape. Thanks for making this video!

      I'm really glad this was helpful! Rinsing your board with fresh water is key especially with any salt. Happy cleaning!

    Thanks so much for the tips! I typically paddle in salt water, so the extra guidance (and SUP cleaner...that's on my birthday list!) was great!

      You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. It can be a lot rinsing all of your equipment after every use with salt water but always worth it to keep things in good working condition. Great gift idea too! SUP Scrub is great!

    @Lori Lopez Thanks so much for your comment! I apologize, I had to take down and re-upload the video so I'm hoping you see my comment! I'm glad you found the video helpful! The blue straps on the front of the board in this video come on Red Paddle Co boards. They are made out of flat bungee material. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can purchase them to add to your paddle board.

    This is really helpful, noticed some bits I hadn’t cleaned because of this. I’ve got a board which has sand in the fin slot, any tips for cleaning this out?

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m glad it was helpful!
      To get sand out of your fin box I find using a hose with a spray nozzle works well. You can also let it dry and use a brush to remove the sand. Let me know if that works for you or if you need any more tips.

    This doesn't have to do with cleaning, but Could I transport inflated paddleboards in a truck with a ratchet strap to hold them down? Or will the racthet strap mess up or indent the boards?

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Месяц назад

      Great question! You should be okay depending on the quality of your boards, the distance you're going and how you strap them down. I've travelled a few hours with two inflatable Red boards on the roof of my car with no issues.
      If you don't have roof racks I'd recommend getting them as flat as possible against the bed of the truck or at the side so they have some flat support. Make sure the boards are pumped to the proper paddling PSI so they are firm. You might see some indents on the deck pads which should eventually come out. Or depending on the boards sizes and how they fit together you can face the deck pads towards each other so the straps only touch the PVC. Don't leave them strap tightly when you aren't travelling to help prevent any indents.
      Keep in mind rocks from the road or the sun if you have prolonged travel could damage the boards. A cover would help prevent this. I have this VAMO one and it's great collabs.shop/rnduay
      Hope this helps!

    Where is brush from thanks

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  6 месяцев назад +1

      The brush is from SUP Scrub which I don’t think exists anymore. It’s similar to something like this amzn.to/4bwzBld Always test a little patch on your deck pad before cleaning your entire board.

    Marybeth I sure could use your advice.
    I have a 3 chamber fishing paddle board, one side tube has mildew on the inside, any idea how to clean/kill this mildew?
    After clean and folding it up for the winter I normally leave the valves open, maybe why it got mildew. There was a hole in that tube I had to patch, most likely were water got inside.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Год назад

      Hi Phillip! Thanks for watching and for the great question.
      It sounds like the majority of moisture would have likely got in from the hole. I haven't had this issue before but what I would recommend is fully drying out the inside of the board. Try putting the valve in the open position and blowing air into the board with a vacuum, hair dryer (not on hot) or a leaf blower.

      @@PaddleAdventurer thank you for the reply.
      That was a great idea, the heat may dry out and kill the mildew.
      I was thinking I was needing liquid chemicals like mold and mildew remover, but diluted down .
      Now I don't have to go that risky route.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Год назад

      With the construction of your board likely being drop stitched it's best not to try and add chemicals and just dry it out as much as possible. Be careful not to go too hot on the air.
      Good luck and let me know how it goes!

      @@PaddleAdventurer I have a star rival from nrs. One of the side tubes got the hole and mildew. I do not think the side tubes have drops stitch . Only the middle has it. No dimples on the side tubes.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  Год назад

      Got it! Try fully drying it out first and see if that helps. You could also contact NRS for help if that doesn’t work out.

      Just a really terrible play on words as in how you would ask people to “Subscribe” to the channel except “SUP-scrub” because that was the name of the shampoo you showed in the video.
