I’ve moved from PS5 to PC, so I think I’m pretty qualified to comment my experience about this subject… I have a 55” 4K 120hz tv with HDMI 2.1 (needed for viewing 4k @ 120 FPS) for my PS5. MW3 on PS5 runs in 4K at around 80 to 90 FPS (advertised as 120FPS but you won’t be hitting those numbers) I wish there was an FPS counter on console so you could see for yourself but you can’t, unless you have one on your monitor. I have a mid range PC build which cost me around £1k paired up with a 4k 144hz monitor (with display port 1.4 and HDMI 2.1) My build is as follows: - Asus Rog Maximus z790 motherboard - Intel i9 12th gen - 2x Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32gb (64gb total) 5600mhz RAM - MSI GeForce RTX 3080 10gb (OC) DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 - 750w 80plus platinum rated power supply. Now… I’m hitting around the same numbers… maybe a little higher with my graphic settings tuned down to low to medium, but then the game won’t look as nice as it does on PS5 if I do that, if I nearly max out graphic settings to make it look super crispy I’d be hitting around 70 to 80 FPS. Final verdict: if I had a better graphics card I’d probably enjoy my PC gaming experience more, but it costs way too much for an RTX 4090 right now so I’m just gonna make do with what I got. Yes a PC can perform better than a PS5 but it’s going to cost you… if you can justify spending around 3k to 4k on a gaming PC, do it, it will be a really nice gaming experience and you’ll never look at console gaming again. If you don’t have that sort of money… a PS5 is great value for money and will provide a great gaming experience.
I got a great deal on my gaming PC, I snagged it new for $800 on black friday. RTX 4060 i5-12400f 16GB DDR5 (I now upgraded to 32GB though) I can run MW3 on ultra settings at 144FPS (I capped it at 144FPS, I think when I uncap it it's around 190 give or take?)
You are lying. I have a 3070ti and 32gb ram and mw3 looks and runs way better than on my ps5. And no the ps5 can’t run mw3 at 4k 80fps lol are you for real? Most games on ps5 are 1440p at 60fps or 4k at 30fps.
@@Vitorfernandes83no I’m not lying, I’ve seen video proof on this subject myself, on PS5 you’re hitting around 80 to 90 FPS (you’re definitely hitting above 60 FPS) in 4k… the reason why your PC graphics look better is because there are more settings for changing in game detail, even though ps5 is 4k it’s still very basic when it comes to the finer details within the game.
@@abzolini yeah in 1080p lol you’re so clueless. 120fps on any game on ps5 is 1080p. You’d know this if you actually had one. You really thought the ps5 could hit 90fps in native 4k on such a high graphical game hahaha
TO CLARIFY ALL: Consoles play Story driven games at 1440p (medium-ish settings) and use FSR to upscale to 4k Consoles also play competitive games at 1080p 120fps and upscale to 1440p. The 4k120hz tag that is on consoles isn't because they play their games at 4k120. It's because it has support for a 4k120hz display and it's features (game mode, MEMC, ALLM etc) because 99.5% of the time they only play at (*UPSCALED*) 4k60 or (*UPSCALED*) 1440p120
Bro I used to be a console kid don’t get me wrong, but after getting a pc, I haven’t touched my console in over a year. Yes, it is fun to play on console, but pc has so much freedom that you only realize once you get one. I remember being the kid who defended the console side on pc vs console, but it’s so sad to see people put their opinions out there without any real knowledge on what it’s like to play on both platforms. For Ex: all the kids saying you need a 4K 120hz monitor to compete with next gen consoles, which simply isn’t true, because the size of a monitor is roughly 3x smaller than a tv, meaning that you would actually get a denser resolution if you have a 1440p monitor vs a 4K console on a tv, all of which at 120hz could be found for less than 100 at the right times. On the other side, many pc players are saying that consoles can only run either 4K at once or 120fps at once, and that running 4K would give you 30fps, but this simply isn’t true, and many games do run fine on 4K 120fps with next gen consoles. What I’m trying to say is that before you go flame one side for something, make sure you actually know what you are talking about.
Facts. Shows how much advertising really “controls” consumers. Yea it can out out 4@120 but even a simpler game like Fortnite will be an Upscaled 1440p @ 120fps
I just like my 1440 P monitor, only problem is it has every HDR function, but my console itself refuses to allow me to use any of them because it requires 4K HDR.😭

This is because it's marketing bullcrap and most people eat it up. The reality is although it's "capable" of doing 4k 120fps, it isn't powerful enough to do that for 99% of the games people play. What you have realised in your own testing is that modern consoles are a scam, essentially.
@@Master.Jedi.Kenobi and that just means it's capable of 4k or 120hz, not both at the same time. Other than games that run on low settings and/or are upscaled beyond all belief.
Well if you think about it, it’s still a bargain, instead of buying a 700 or 800 dollar pc and a 200 dollar monitor, let’s not forget at least 100 bucks for keyboard and mouse, when you could buy the same quality for 500 bucks and the same 200 dollar monitor and if you want, you could buy a keyboard and mouse for 100
You dont have to get a new monitor for your pc. Theres people out there who enjoy gaming on their tv with a pc and xbox controller. You could say the same for console and need to buy a new monitor or tv for 200 dollars
Most pcs come with keyboards and mouse buying new ones is like buying an elite controller. So let’s say you bought a $700 pc with the $200 monitor so it’s $900 did the same it the console so it was $700 after 3 years you would have already pay the same amount because you have to pay $60 a year for online and after 8 you are paying an extra $200. Pc has way more benefits just by base. steam alone with its sales can easily same $400 a year if you buy a lot of games. you can also just pirate games for free pc also has a lot of games that are just not on consoles. Console is only better if your friends are there and JUST want to game and have no idea about pcs

I understand that in some cases a PC is better than a console but that is entirely dependent on what you’re using it for. If you’re a casual gamer then a console is perfect for most applications. If you’re a competitive gamer or desire all of the fancy bells and whistles then get a pc.
Dont need to pay for online functionality, cheaper games, better in game settings, better performance, can do way more than just play games. Upgradability. Mouse and keyboard is arguably better if your into comp FPS games.
Do you have any idea how good a £500 pc can be? It outperforms any xbox or playstation on the market while being far more functional, upgradeable and most of all you don't get overcharged on games since there isn't a corporation like sony or microsoft behind that PC trying to rinse their users for profits after selling them a reasonably priced machine to hook them in. Because thats what consoles are. An ecosystem that you eat right up, bud. Educate yourself
@Tjgamer2010 Mass majority of people have no idea about common marketing tactics and such, it's no wonder people can't see through the scam of consoles. CEO's are happy with selling their hardware at a loss for a reason, they know they're making the profit off the user through accessories, subscriptions and game sales. But the amount of people who aren't educated enough to know that is staggering. PC all day
@@kaktus-jooseppi4597 My PC was like $1400 and I can slowly upgrade it over time and use it for more than just gaming. PCs are an investment unlike game consoles where after like 7 years you have to buy a new one with new games. My Steam library stays with me forever.
@@Billabong1264if you don't know about pcs don't comment, you csn rather easily get a pc for 500 dollars that can run very well, in terms of actual performance the ps5 only runs about a 6600xt level of performance. The series x runs a 6700xt which you can't really make a system with that for 500 unless you sacrifice quality in other areas The only reason that consoles get decent frame rates in 4k is because they either upscale or the devs optimize the gsme well, it is also worth noting that a 500 dollar pc will be very similar in performance to a console because of frame generation
as a proud owner of 2 xbox series x and a ps5 and a very good gaming monitor i can tell you: no you won't get more than 60 fps out of it 4k is also not possible for most games but it suffices and i love them both equally consoles are just nice man
The other thing is that for competitive use, consoles have a LOT of input delay when compared to pc. That alone is good enough to be on pc for competitive use, even if you're running the same fps and resolution
I play both pc and Konsol. Konsol is just nostalgic, convinient and chill. Like i wont play minecraft on consol thats for PC but sure as hell COD or GTA
Yeah being a long time console player who only recently got a good gaming pc its just not even a similar machine. Consomes are amazing for exactly what theyre intended for, playing their generation of games with great graphics, providing a platform for AAA games, and playing games with friends and all for price thats realistic for a lot of people. PCs are a whole different beast. Theres no reason to get one if you dont want one but theyre completely different lol
I like having something you just plug in to my OLED and it just works. Updates in the background, don’t gotta worry about shit. I got a PC but it’s for work
I'll prolly get a console set up in my room just for chill games and relaxing. I use my laptop when I wanna play pcvr, play with friends, or play high quality games
I mean, the "you still have to buy the correct display" argument goes both ways. A good PC might cost less than a console, but the entire set-up will set you back just as much, if not more. The whole point of consoles is convenience and longevity, majority of people buying a new console already have a modern television and a couch, the controller and cables come included. Obviously you can just hook up your PC to the TV too, but it isn't reccomended for several reasons, also talk about back cramps, I used to do this and had to sit on the floor infront of my coffee table. Everyone also knows a home computer does "more than just play video games" but unless you're a casual gamer, realistically you still want to invest in an office computer or a laptop for general purpose use, if you care about the lifespan and specs of your gaming computer.
It’s not like a console can actually run a game at those resolutions with those frame rates, at least not properly. They have the hardware performance of basically zen 2 Ryzen 7 (3000 series so think something like a r7 3800) and the gpu performance of a Rx 6700. It would literally be physically impossible for a console to get that performance properly
To all PC gamers: I use console for nostalgia and just for a bit of fun. My PS5 gets the job done and it does it well and if I’m having fun on a device dedicated to gaming, what’s the problem?
Consoles are just easier to setup and are great for accessibility but pc can be hard sometimes I would say a console is good for gaming if your budget isn’t that high (ex: xbox series s)
@@namel3s. People buy consoles to just plug and play and enjoy current gen without having to worry about high prices or any extra hustle of owning a pc. @invictobebop I don't think in know that.i know that they are more convenient but my argument was on price people generally think pcs cost 2k and more and I was clearing that up and yes if ur a casual person who cares nothing for a pc and its complexities then for sure go for the console but don't make price your main point that's all I am saying and I mean this in no disrespectful way so you have your self a wonderful day

I hope you guys realize consoles use upscaling to produce 4k. It's not native resolution so don't compare it to a pc that can.
They do Native 4K 60fps no problem
The 1X and PS4 Pro literally did 4K upscalling and were 2× weaker than the current gen
The Series X and PS5 only upscale when you're running past 60fps to compensate for the reduced rendering
@@P_D-px6iv yeah I guess it can do it the same way a pc does. By tuning graphics settings. But that is also highly dependent on the game. I'm sure hollow knight runs at 120fps but doubt horizon zero dawn can maintain a smooth 60 in combat. There are always nuances to console manufacturer's claims. I know that they sell consoles at a loss but the raw power to make every game or even 75% of games run at a steady 60fps at 4k requires a fairly nice gpu.
@BaldKiwi117 I'd say atleast 50% of the games available on them run at atleast 4K 60fps
They're running custom AMD GPUs on pair with AMDs mid spec options
You also have to remember the cost for the console manufacturer is likely heavily discounted compared to what consumers pay
Kinda like wholesale or drop shipping you pay a fraction of the cost for the product
I mean they've proven they can atleast run most Ubisoft games in native 4K at 60fps and I think that's pretty damn solid
They can run games like Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice in Dynamic 4K at a pretty steady 60fps
Most the games I've seen on them that can't do atleast Dynamic 4K at a consistent 60fps is very intensive games like Baldurs Gate 3
But even then Cyberpunk 2077 runs in Dynamic 4K at a pretty constant 50-60fps with minimal drops (according to testing)
I think the issue is because the Xbox One and PS4 were so weak PC players have forgotten just how much bang for your buck consoles can be
It's just like when the 360 and PS3 first came out alot of PC players didn't beleive they did native 720p at a consistent 30fps+ ontop of playing movies and music for only $500-600

I have a mid range PC build which cost me around £1k paired up with a 4k 144hz monitor (with display port 1.4 and HDMI 2.1)
My build is as follows:
- Asus Rog Maximus z790 motherboard
- Intel i9 12th gen
- 2x Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32gb (64gb total) 5600mhz RAM
- MSI GeForce RTX 3080 10gb (OC) DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1
- 750w 80plus platinum rated power supply.

Consoles play Story driven games at 1440p (medium-ish settings) and use FSR to upscale to 4k
Consoles also play competitive games at 1080p 120fps and upscale to 1440p.

My PS5 gets the job done and it does it well and if I’m having fun on a device dedicated to gaming, what’s the problem?

i think the first thing console playes gotta do is find a game that you cant already play on pc
You also have to have a 4k 120 hz display for pc too to get that. You’ll be spending more money for both than a console and monitor
Why bro out here looking like that ninja from Simpson?
Not to mention native res vs the massive upscale on consoles
Consoles ARE PCs!
(just with proprietary hardware and software) 😂
I do like the fact games on consoles run usually at a locked fps maybe like 60 or 120 (maybe 30) and the games still look good. Pcs are still cool though letting me achieve more fps but it requires more configuration which sometimes I just want to press play and have some fun
Imagine updating your pc everyday just to make sure it doesn’t crash while playing a game
You can use Microsoft edge and a mouse/keyboard on Xbox and something similar on ps4/5 etc. Also, there is a RUclips,a Spotify and other apps on consoles too
I was using 120 fps on a 60hz monitor for so long. I thought I could feel a difference.
Well modern consoles aren't just for games either
Its usually upscale to 4k and rarely 120fps, but i still enjoy my ps5
I have a LG that plays at 120fps it was around 1400 when I got it the tv you use with the right specs will definitely improve your gaming experience.
consoles are not only for gaming either they run on a lower wattage when watching youtube/netflix or other applications.
FOR GAMING:
PC-Multiplayer games
Ps5-Story single player
Why? I pirate single player games on pc for free
