    To all those saying their hair gets stuck, make sure that firstly, your hair is Combes out and smooth, secondly that it should be quite straight and dry - the wetter it is the more likely it is to get tangled, try not to wrap it too tightly and make sure to pull it out you don't try to 'unroll' it but pull it away, holding your hair near the roots of you need to. Hope this helps!

    Reasons your hair may get stuck:
    1. Your hair isnt completely dry.
    2. Half your hair is curled out of the comb so everything becomes a mess when you try to take it out (if that makes sense).
    What you can do to remove your hair from the tangled mess without much damage:
    1. Spray your hair wet-the part that's stuck in the comb.
    2. Squirt some conditioner into the hair that's stuck and try to rub it in.
    3. Then slowly try to take out your hair.
    You'll find it easier and it wont do much damage to your hair.

    OR what you guys can do is to use a medium sized round hairbrush. This will help to straighten your roots AND curl your ends. No need for a small or large round hair brush. Minimal tangling. This has been tried-and-tested on my own hair a dozen times (I have natural "S" shaped curls and coil-like curls) So, here's how you do it....
    1) Brush through the section of hair first to detangle your hair before you start blow drying. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
    2) Wrap your hair around the hairbrush. I know this sounds like it will turn into a tangled mess, but trust me, it won't, as you've already detangled it beforehand, and the size of the hairbrush is just right for brushing through hair.
    3) Bring the hairbrush with your wrapped up hair AWAY from your shoulders (usually i do it to the side of my shoulders). THIS IS ESSENTIAL as the angle at which you've held your wrapped up hair will create the curls. If you ignore this one, your hair will probably just create a small 'curve' at the end of the hair.
    4) Begin le blow drying processsss!
    Tell me how it goes for you guys! Hopefully it works out well! :)

    I tried this and it worked so well! I am normally super lazy about spending time on my hair but I found this really easy and it didn't take very long. My hair is notoriously flat, but this gave it great volume. Will definitely be doing this regularly! Thank you so much!

    I've got long, quite layered hair and while I have a LOT of it, the strands are very fine. I literally HAVE to blowdry which makes it super straight...I'm going to try this and if it works you shall be my hero. Thanks so much for posting! No idea how I never thought of this, I even have the brush.

  • @Xraykittin
    @Xraykittin 10 лет назад

    I have been using a variation on this method for years - also borrowed from my stylist. I only use one round brush - maybe a 1-1/2" ceramic barrel. When i release the hair from the brush I twist it around and I find that that helps wave the hair a little further up the shaft. I agree that this method results in a longer lasting, bouncier, more natural looking wave & i always get tons of compliments when I do this.

      Use ceramic brushes!! They grasp the hair a lot easier so when you're turning it around it doesn't get stuck! :)

    • @ginadonaldson982

      Yeah NEVER use normal brushes, I lost a section of my hair thanks to making that mistake one time at the gym, went to an interview with the brush hidden with my hair because I could not get it out. It took two hours for four hairdressers to get it out. So yeah, MAKE SURE IT'S A CERAMIC!!! lol

      AylaJoJo a boar bristle brush will give a better result than a ceramic brush any days there is no comparison however, for at home use, stick to ceramic or titanium. Boar is best reserved for those of us who know how to use them

    I have been using a round brush for YEARS. I'm no stranger to them. But I tried this technique and my hair got tangled so badly around the small brush that it had to be cut out of the brush 3 inches from my head. Thankfully, it was just one section on the under side so I can hide it. But I'm really disappointed with this tutorial. It ruined my hair a week before my wedding.

    • @Lindsaysworldviews1987
      @Lindsaysworldviews1987 8 лет назад +11

      I had this problem when I was young. My hair dresser said it was because I have very fine hair so I should blow dry with a paddle brush. I don't think there was anything wrong with the tutorial because you can see it clearly worked... Maybe it's your hair type too.... Orrr you're twisting too much hair around. Mimi only put the hair around one turn!

    At first I like your tutorials a lot :) I dont own any beauty blog or something. But the way I curl my hair without heat is very easy and you only have to wake-up and open up the curls, put some hairspray in. What I did is: I cut pieces of a cotton kitchen towel into pieces of 20cm by 2 cm about 30 of those. When your washed hair is almost dried you put some styling mousse in it, the one that works for your hair the best. Than you just separate your hair in layers to get more volume. Put them in the same way you did in this wave tutorial and bow it. (like almost the papillote style) You sleep with them in the morning after you've done your make-up you take them out, separate the curls the way you want them and put some hairspray in and your done. They last for whole day and next day they become wavy!

    OK, so me again for the update of my wavy-blowdry-practicing, my previous normal brush (i bought from supermarket) didn't help me much and hair could easily get tangled. This time I ask the person in the hair salon I often go to help me buy the brush they use in the hair salon, I try this technique again and yes yes yes, the result is wonderful and it's not time-consuming as well. So guys, I must say investing in a proper brush is crucial if you want to do this at home.
