Your kitchen is so clean and organised. I have always wondered, how you are managing everything so calmly without any house help. Appreciate all your good works!!
Today i have tried Idli with this batter ....omg...its came out so tasty....thank you for this vdo...i have bought millet but didnt know what and how to prepare....
Very nice video Sushmakka. I just got millet to incorporate in our diet. Your video was just in time. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in for every video.
Very good, Sushma! The water that is used for washing the rice, lentils, etc can be used to water a few plants, if you don't want to waste so much water.
Very nice sushma ji ...I am from hubli ... Even we are planning to travel UK ... By seeing ur all the videos I got hope that we can get our authentic idian grocery and have delicious food ...
Hey great video...lovely presentation.... beautiful kitchen.... Q ... are Millet still as healthy when mixed with other grains like rice or semolina .... New to millets so asking....
Simple yet smart way to use millets in our custom food 👍 I even liked the way you added bit of ragi in making chapati dough in one of your other videos. I have become fan to your channel. You voice is so addictive, I watched all your videos at once like webseries 😀 love from Bangalore ❤️
Amazing videos the way you are saying I have one doubt In the ingredients adding puffed rice ,it means pori,is it correct , iam from Chennai I will add poha 😊
Nice. My view.. But 1.5 millet n 1 5 idli rice n 1 whole urad. Soaked overnight. N washed many times. N grinded nxt morning n gets fermented by evening in Indian humid conditions. N this batter Gives super soft idlis without puffed rice or poha. Bcos if you keep batter for a week. Tht would smell. N grinding in grinder does everything soft. N can try karnataka speciality thattu idli. N top with dhokla like thaduka n njoy with railway chutney. Cheers. From Pune. Indumathy Narayanan.
@Mpl 123 good morning. Cheers from pune. It's very simple. Take 2 handsful roasted gram dal (chutney dal), ginger one 1inch piece, 3 to 5 green chillies, or more acc to taste, it's more spicy than usual, namesake add one or 2 teaspoons grated coconut, add fresh pudina one hand ful, add salt, grind well. Then transfer to bigger vessel. Nicely add some say 2 tumblers of water. Check salt. N consistency. It has to be little watery chutney. Give usual thaduka rai urad hing curry leaves.. this is good to eat with any bland breakfast or snack. Say Mangalore bonda of urad dal. Or even any multi grain dosa, idli. Which are bland. This chutney u just dip in tht watery bigger chutney wati n just enjoy. :-) 😀 ..this is my way n my style You can try as per yr choice n taste various combinations. Basic idea is not much coconut. Otherwise it will spoil. Thts why in trains they make watery chutney ..thts my understanding...leave it to you. ..try n njoy. Cheers.
Hi Shivadeepthi Yes you can definitely make a smaller portion just use a smaller cup that you have at home keeping the same ratio or just cut down everything in half or quarter times using the same measurements thaz all💕
It's been very cold here to where I live with just 3° and it's been snowing as well so to naturally ferment on its own ...we need one and half a day...but in summers I do only 24hrs ...it all depends to the temperature where you live ...my mom leaves to ferment just overnight ( 10hrs) so please see and check what would suit according to the weather and temperature you live
Can you plz explain about how can we get proper coconut oil, as you usually use it, and we in North India don't know much about coconut oil about cooking, we have had only banana chips in coconut oil, and other things are not easily available, can you explain about it from where to purchase in what way it could be used in cooking, what are the brands who sells in whole of India, or could deliver pan India Actually we can already Google about the oil but in reality we don't know about purity and quality checking things for cooking purpose
Hi Maithili I use Extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil for cooking anything and everything in the kitchen it's good for health and tastes fabulous too...one of the best reasons that I love the most is we don't have to cut down or watch out on how much of oil we consume when it comes to coconut oil! I have actually started to see so much of control in hair fall every day ...you can buy Coconut oil in-store or online doesn't really matter as long as it's either organic or the one which I mentioned earlier...hope this helps 💕

Puffed rice helps the Idlies to become soft and light
