Don't know why i said it takes half an hour or forty minutes to get to about lvl 25. Takes far less than that. About second Uchigatana. Lot of people missed it in the video. Path to second Uchigatana starts at 4:52 and it is picked up from body on the ledge at 5:44. Shouldn't have sped the video up so much but it is still not that hard to spot.
start your save take trapped chest to caelid kill the huge dragon for 70k and then the nights cavalry for 45k and bloodhounds step then you basically instantly go from level 9 to mid 30s in however long it takes you to travel from a fresh save with my samurai took me like 15 mins

one thing i would recommend before going to margit is to head back to the first church and pick up the bell so you can summon the wolves to distract him while you wail on him.

There is a possible glitch as well with a horse riding knight boss that only spawns at night. It give 45,000 souls by just zig zagging and losing aggro. For some reason, it dies instead of de-spawning.
Is because of the poision traps, he get poison too and dies

Where exactly does he spawn
Depending on your build farming the little bastards early can be done more safely with rapier and stealth attacks. You will be taking 70% of their hp with the backstab hit and then two heavy strikes will finish them off. They have low posture so they brake easy. Probably a better farming spot than the boulder to be honest.
@@imsoraaaa It depends on the build. But no matter what you use, you can cheese them with auto-chain as long as you have the stamina for it and there is only 1 on you at a time. WIth lvl 40 int+dex build with scholar armament rapier +9 I was one-shotting them from stealth attack 1400 dmg. IT might sound silly for a lvl 40 character to do that, but getting 1k runes from 1 hit is really good. I got to lvl 60 on that spot :)
Can the sleeping dragon be an alternative to this?

@@imsoraaaa I used the unsheathed skills on them after I back stabbed. Works like a charm. Just backstab and right when they start getting up use the heavy attack unsheathe
One thing about this farm spot though- if you ride too far out farming them, you will aggro the Black Blade boss, and lose the fame spot until you kill him.

Instead of killing the little guys to farm, why not head a tiny bit more south from those guys and kill the sleeping dragon? You get like 75k runes and it takes 5-10minutes, with no effort.

Knowing my "ooo look a shiny" syndrome this will take me a lot longer than an hour 😂. Not to mention there's always something that hits me hard enough to delay me. My games never like to let me speed run and idk why, haven't tried to yet in Elden Ring cause I'm still new to the game. And if I do this it'll be after I've finished the game at least once, for right now if I did it I need both a on foot and map example cause I only have and know where the first map fragment is

I would recommend gettin that scarlet rot summon. If you distract him long enough he'll get rotted and start losing health bit by bit. Plus having the bloody slash on ur uchigatana will help just make sure you got a high health bar.

For the farm you can just go to Lennes rise in the same area and ride your house to the edge and the ball with fall off everytime giving 1.9k runes (this is infinite and easier)
At beastial sanctum i didn't have the dialogue with the girl and when I went back to HQ, nothing happened. What did I miss?

Started as a Mahe cause My friend recommended that, never played a souls game before. Mage was not for me, I listed the game on kijiji, luckily nobody bought it because I found this guide and it made the game SO MUCH more enjoyable for me. I just feel like a beast halfway through this guide. You really show us starters how to get rolling dude! Great video, and thankyou for the help. Even a year later thus still stands as the best guide I have come across for samurai.
Likewise though I would say I am not that good at souls like games I like to be OP and didnt know how to go about it without struggling immensely

The miners are week to fire so for the Samurai which has the katana where they are strong against, the torch is really the best option.
How does pinenut handle in the dungeon, give you another katana? I did that, and I don’t have a rewarded katana
Also if you can get the ash of war unsheathe for the uchigatana, you can wield just one and the damage output from it is like 300 from a heavy attack. This is without upgrades to your katana. With a +5 uchigatana I was doing like 500 damages off a heavy attack and a light attack combo.
Then you will have less bleed
In the first hour he says, been staring at my screen for 2+
For souls it’s much easier to farm the ball and you can kill the dragon and the dark knight horse boss for like 110k runes.
I now feel like a sort of cheesed the boss summoned the wolfs kept him distracted
Become the overpowered Bushido master you were mean't to be.
A better way to kill the monsters at the place he showed where you farm tunes is to sneak up behind them and stab them in the back it will take out half there hp
I normally just used the orange spirit guy and the 3 wolf box and they’d attack and I’d use the opening

Nice video dude. I’ve been playing this for like 2hrs and struggling every time. I’m a samurai so I will attempt to do the things you’ve said and hope that it makes my experience better as at the minute I’m on the verge of giving up 😂 games so hard and I generally have no idea what’s going on 😂😂😂

Listen fellas... ive never played any Souls game before. So yes I have no idea wtf I'm doing. I hope you all used the cave of knowledge in the beginning for info n practice. After that go (sneak) to to that first church where the merchant is. Avoid group fights and any large enemies. Use the golden runes in ur inventory to get more to lv up. Buy the crafting kit from that merchant. WATCH MORE VIDEOS.. There's 2 really good for the first hr or so of game time. It literally saved me. Let me know n I can probably send it to you. And u HAVE to get the horse n spirit bell, not hard but make huge difference. Don't give up !!!!
And im playing as a Samari too... bosses still wreck me but I'm pretty good fighting everything else. Did kill 2 tunnel mini bosses tho.

This is a good straightforward tutorial but I’d have to say that I’m glad I read other players input! There’s a knight at Farum Greatbridge that only shows at night. You should fight him instead of feasting on the dead guys. This should have been apart of the tutorial. Only reason it might be left out is because he probably wants to fight the bosses straight up. I watched another vid while watching/following this and the Knight can be lured into jumping off the bridge without fighting at all. Ended up with 42,000 runes and ashes of war! Second thing is he rushed through how to get to the 2nd Uchigatana. RUclips another video and figure it out yourself. Besides that I’d hold off on the Smithstones and go look for other power ups. Probably follow a different tutorial.

Easier way to fight the little bastards is to backstab them, afterwards you will not run out of stamina when finishing them off
So is there like another samurai katana or are all the other swords u get not like the one u start with

you can also kill the huge sleeping dragon it will take a while but it will give you a ton

Wolf summon can help you out if u have them during farming method when u have to kill little bastards
I like fighting the dragons in the area with the small guys. You will find about 6 dark green dragons that are surrounding one giant dragon that's covered in the white fungus stuff. Try to take them on one at a time and as soon as you kill enough of them, the giant dragon dies and gifts you like 30 or 40 thousand. The dark green dragons don't breathe fire so you don't have to worry about that. My tip is aim for the head because its their weak spot, every time they do their stomp attacks and their flying attacks their head drops for a few seconds, an easily timed dodge is all you need to avoid those and use some charged heavy attacks when you strike their head so they can get stunned and you can stab their eyes for big damage. After you kill the giant dragon there are 3 dark green ones that always respawn. They are 3,000 runes each

You can hide behind the main dragon if you hop the glowing wall, wail on its tail with a bleed weapon , pop the owls foot for 30% soul boost, then when the dragon dies it takes out the smaller ones, 97,000 souls without any risk as it doesn’t fight back
You can also do this within the first 15 minutes of play time

@@DaEpicKiller greyoll's dragonbarrow, south of the beastial sanctum, home of gurranq the beast clergyman. head south till you reach a long bridge with a S.o.G. in its entrance. there is no need to fight the Kindred.
you can reach greyoll's dragonbarrow by using the sending gate a few steps around the third church of marika. hope this helped
I appreciate this video it is a great way to level up. However for me I found it so much easier to fight the guys off my mount than on it. I died each time I tried on my mount but not once off.
I've noticed for big enemies the mount is a life saver, but I agree, for small enemies its more annoying than anything else. but i can pull of running in circles and swinging wildly to defeat groups that might have beat me on foot.
You did it wrong. You literally just run in circles around them and they cant even hit you. Its so easy its ridiculous

I went to the smithing stone location and got merked by a dragon

From Church of Elleh follow the path north where you'll see a small camp with enemy soldiers, avoid them and go around towards the left to get to that Grace point.
where do you get the 2nd uchigatana
I kept leveling up until Vigor, mind, End, and Dex to 20.

This may be a dumb question... but when dual swords.. do you press L1 and R1 to attack?
L1 for power stance attack (special combo when wielding 2 same weapon types).
R1 is just right handed quick attack.
What stats are we aiming for?
The body isn't on the ledge in the base version of the game
Why do you get a second katana, what was the point of that?
body in bridge has 1 smithing stone
Where is the other uchigatana? I still only have one and I’m with the blacksmith already. I have enough smithing stones too.

you should have gotten the holy weapon ash of war too, raises your dmg quite alot. ^
its on the way of doing those things, you can buy it from an npc that sells some ashes of war. dont remember his name tho

Love this tutorial. One thing I did before farming was cheese the bridge boss that gives you bloodhounds step with the poisons trap. It gives you 40k runes and very easy to pull off. It got me instantly to level 22. Everyone try this
