How to diagnose and fix the red brake light of doom

Red bake light won't go out on a Gen 2 Mini cooper? Try this.
I am well aware this is a bypass until I get a replace brake warning wire, but for many people this is a "what do I do now" moment, and I'll show you what to look for.

Didn't know that light was a service indicator for brake pads. I had been changing the brake pads but not reseting the counter on the car's computer :)

I got a 2012 mini cooper and I just did the brake pads, rotors, wheel speed sensors and brake wear sensors and nothing changed until I tried this! Works like a charm and no brake light on the dash, thank you 🙏
