This was the conversation that I needed to hear. I'm in the same boat, Dr. Mindy. No TPE near me though. Hoping that science will keep finding ways for LPa and high cholesterol patients to heal and thrive!
Grate podcast mindy , love you from argentina. Im 62 great shape, good lipid panel , no hrt yet. I Would like to start. Have family heart problems so i am getting my LPlilltle A done. Thank you so much
I am sorry to hear about your friend. It's horrible. Was he vaccined? I live with a BP of 142 for a few years now and I refuse to take any prescription. It's so difficult to find a grreat cardiologist. I have one and I don't like her. What to look for when you look for a good cardiologist who really knows what they are doing and care?
If I already did a CIMT which identified hard plaque and heterogenous plaque no soft plaque would I still need to do a cleverly scan/ Angiogram with ffr?
I live keto lifestyle, IF, have my chronic urticaria under control, however, my overall cholesterol is high. My tri to hdl ratio is .8, I have Pattern A ldl particles, 10.6 lp(a), but 'high' apo b of 180 I'm confused and my dr wants me to start a statin. I requested a CAC scan Can anyone offer insight on good lpa but high apob? I have good bp, off two medications and metabolically healthy according to tests with nutritionists. Low bmi, have lost about 25 lbs since IF and keto
Same here. High cholesterol but otherwise healthy 😂. There’s a missing link though, most women have high cholesterol due to peri or meno, it’s gotta be estrogen, it always is. Good luck to us.
I was strict keto for 5 years before it became a cult. As a result my testosterone tanked. My competitive running tanked. My sleep sucked and I looked like I lived in a concentration camp. I left the keto world and went back to 250 grams of healthy carbs. 200 grams of protein and only 30 grams of sat fat. I greatly reduced my sat fat. Adding back healthy carbs everything improved tremendously. Muscle mass has increased and my running is back on point. Also I enjoy delicious food again all because of carbs.
Strange u waited a full 5 years to return to eating carbs, which are totally unnecessary. Carnivore, (ruminant meat, salt and water only) for 9 years and at 77 have never felt or looked better. Keto is a slippery slope for some if they aren't really focused and mindful.
@@denim4821 You have bought into the bullshit that carbs aren’t necessary. Yes they are. When you lower carbs, what does your liver do? Well it produces glucose (carbs) through a process of gluconeogenisis. If your body didn’t need glucose then your liver wouldn’t produce it. Might as well eat them. Gluconeogenesis creates stress on your body. It was this process that caused high fasting glucose. That is NOT good mate
Carbs are essential otherwise your liver wouldn’t produce glucose in the absence of carbs. Gluconeogenesis is what caused high fasting my fasting glucose to be high. Once I went to eating healthy carbs my fasting glucose came down to normal ranges. Carbs are wonderful and completely reversed all the keto damage.
Thank you, both!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Wow such good info...my LPa is 390😵
Taking this info to my dr. I also need a new cardiologist her opinion was just take a statin and watch it. 😢
What about the detoxing through distilled water?
And how about people with egg allergies or sensitivities with the albumin
My level is 144. The reference range is 116-209 mg/dl. So is that bad? You mentioned 60 is bad.
If I already did a CIMT which identified hard plaque and heterogenous plaque no soft plaque would I still need to do a cleverly scan/ Angiogram with ffr?
Just discovered I have a congenital heart condition aged 51. Going for unroofing surgery
What about just donating plasma

I thought plasma exchange treatment was only for people that have had several heart attacks and not just as treatment
❤❤❤❤Great information regarding detoxing!
