Amen ... We have that POWER! Through the Holy Spirit. Praise God for it. When we draw close to God He will draw close to us. As it says in james 4:8. The more time we spend with God in reading the Bible. Spending time with him in prayer throughout our day. Listening to worship music. Reading devotionals and mabey watching a few watchmen on RUclips. Lol.. and staying away from secular entertainment. Im not saying we will be perfect. but with all that said. We can live holy lives as Christ followers. 1 peter 1:16 says (since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”) The closer we're to God the easier it is to fight off the enemy and the flesh. We just have to recognize we are in a battle.. It's a spiritual warfare battle for us. But greater is the holy spirit in the believers than any evil spirit on this earth. Hallelujah Thankyou Jesus!!! We are more than conquerors through our Savior Jesus christ Praise God for it. Amen... God bless you all..
Spiritual warfare is real and we should pray for every unclean spirit to be sent to the abyss in jesus name! But we should Sacrifice our flesh daily and pick up our cross. I agree with the gym helping with battling flesh too! Amen god bless you
2nd 10:3-5 3-For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4-For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5-We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to obey Christ. When Satan brings these evil and wicked thoughts and imagination of hate, lust, anger, and doing drugs. I take these wicked thoughts captive. I cast down every wicked and evil imagination that enters my mind using the Word of God. This is why it is so important to read the Bible. I decide on what thoughts or imagination to accept in my mind. It is no sin that these thoughts enter our minds (as we are under attack from Satan), but it is a sin to dwell on these thoughts. So, with the word of God, I do not accept them. For instance when a lustful thought enters my mind. I say "It Is Written that whoever shall ever look upon a woman and lust after her/picturing yourself having sex with her in your mind. You have already committed fornication/adultery. I tell the devil after quoting a scripture "Devil get behind me." That thought immediately goes away. Since I know the read of God and know it is a sin I do not accept that thought. But you got to read your Bible. The Bible is sharper than any double edge sword. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. That old sinful, lustful, drug user, violent man Randolph is nailed to the cross with Jesus. Thank God I no longer use drugs. I am no longer a slave to the lust of sin and feed it wicked desires. I am a new man in Christ Jesus and that old sinful part of me is still nailed to cross. But I fast 2 days a week, I pray every morning before the sun rise, I thank God, I praise God, I worship God through his Son Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit. 7 days a week and I don't get tired. We are fighting an evil enemy who never sleeps or gives up, so why should we. Good morning Brother Hymie. I love you my brother in Christ Jesus. I pray to God that He continues to let your Light shine in this world of darkness. Darkness is the absence of Light. The smallest Light can drive away the greatest darkness. I can feel where you are coming from. Drugs, Lust, and masturbation was my biggest battles. But once I truly surrendered to Jesus. I mean literally threw my hands in the air; Like when the police tell you to raise your hands (I been in that situation too). Once I surrendered my life to Christ. He stepped in. These are my 2 meditation scriptures that defeated what you are talking about. I still read and meditate on them today.
