All i gotta say is I’ve seen more results (mentally AND physically) in a week of following sustainable dieting with NO restriction than months of keto. If that’s not pure Jordan Syatt magic idk what is. The man knows what he’sdling#SortingHatSquad

I really like how Jordan said health and fat loss are not equal. we can use multiple ways to lose fat but it not might be sustainable but ruins our health. I have tried keto diet two years ago for a year and yea i do lose fat for the first six months, however, i didn't realised it was slowly ruining my physical and MENTAL health. I end up have eating disorder such as binge eating because i restricted myself from eating carbs, then after binge eating i will just blame myself. Then I started to ask myself whether i really wanted to lose fat but sacrifice my health.
After that, i literally just FORCED myself to have balanced diet and proper meal + regular exercise, I feel a lot better in both my body and mind, i feel stronger than ever. I REALLY HOPE PEOPLE WILL START REALISING THAT LOSE FAT =/= HEALTHY, HEALTHY=/=LOSE FAT!!
Now, for me, HEALTHY IS SLEEP MORE, EAT WELL, EXERCISE REGULARLY. ENJOY YOUR LIFE AND PEOPLE AROUND YOU.
    Thanks JORDAN! #Sortinghatsquad
Need to mention that this post is not targeted anyone who is using ketodiet right now. It might suits and works to you but it aint for me because in my case I was over-restricting/suppressing myself for a long period of time which isn't healthy for me.

I stopped giving a shit and gained 130 back..... watching your videos gives me so much encouragement because even though I know everything you say to be truth.... it’s awesome to hear you be so passionate about this information. Hi Jordan! 30 days ago I was lost and frustrated, then I found you! Between 2013-2015, I had lost 120lbs on my own and kept it off (through various diets, lots of hiit and some strength work) However after a year of a lot of emotional ups and downs, I gained back around 30lbs. I almost talked myself into not losing this weight from the regain. Then I got scared that 30 would turn into 50, and so on. I almost convinced myself that I didn't have what it takes anymore, even though I was amazing and lost over 100lbs and kept it off for a long time all on my own. Then I told myself, STOP...I was being stubborn as hell and just didn't want to go back into fat loss mode after years of being in maintenance and a year of eating like an a$$hole. However, I still didn't know what path to take.
All I knew was that I had pushed myself with a crapload of high-intensity interval training several days a week to initially lost those last 20-30 lbs, and I was scared I would have to push my body through that again to lose these 30lbs of regain. Also, I suffer from binge eating off and on my whole life and an all or nothing, super restrictive 'clean eating' mindset is very dangerous for me. There are SO many different directions to go in. Keto, Vegan, Whole 30/Paleo, etc and not to mention, the Healthy at Every Size movement telling people it's not OK to lose weight anymore. Ok, so what's a person to do with all of this?!!!!
Then I found you one day on RUclips last month and it was like OMG, who's this???! Everything you said about the calorie deficit, not moralizing foods and lifting heavy, as well as making challenges throughout the year, just made it seem all so simple to me. It was like BOOM. A light flicked on in my head that had been turned off and I have not been this excited about dieting in my entire life. I'm not happy to have gained back some weight now, but I honestly think I'm on the path to having the best relationship with food I've ever had in my whole life and If I had to go through some regain, so be it. I am about 30 days into my personal 90-day fat loss challenge and I'm so proud and happy to say I'm 7.8lbs down and not been tempted to binge once! I can now have a donut in the break room at work if I want and go about my day. I'm so excited for this journey! Thanks, Jordan! #sortinghatsquad

Thank you Jordan. I have binged watched your videos. You have helped me understand things a lot better. I have been doing WW and lost weight. I don’t have much to lose. I seemed to have gained and lost the same few pounds and then saw you were mentioned from a Weight Watcher Jenn from JennsWW Journey. I used your calorie deficit and figured out how many calories I should be eating for Weight loss. I have been double tracking with WW and counting calories. I have already lost 4 pounds with your calculation. Your information has been very valuable. Thank you.

I’ve had inconsistencies with eating “healthy” during the day, but once I sit on my couch, all bets are off. I get up and raid the fridge and my cabinets and just eat just about everything in site. I do some exercising in the morning but I know it’s not enough. I also have been counting calories for the past 12 years and haven’t acquired a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Things really need to change for me.

I do what you suggest for point 2 if the nutritional info isnt available. I try to find something similar on my fitness pal. And with point 1 you are spot on. Im trying to gain weight and yes that would be easy if I just ate junk or could even afford to eat out daily but to do so healthily is much tougher. And on a separate note...it feels like you are talking directly to me with these vlogs. So powerful. The podcasts are awesome too.

Whenever I am eating at a restaurant I ask for a to go plate before I eat. Then when I am halfway done and I start to feel full I stop and put the leftover in the to go plate. I then eat that for breakfast the next day. It is a good strategy to have.

Thank you for the comforting yet honest answer about fat loss as you age. I’m turning 40 next year and it’s something that’s been on my mind a lot throughout my weight loss. I often kick myself for not starting at a younger age because so many say it just gets harder and harder. But it’s comforting to know that maybe it’ll get harder, but it’ll still be doable.

If you are fitter do you burn less calories when working out? For example the fitness trackers will say how many calories burned for a certain activity but if you are fit do you burn less because you already have a fitness level or burn more because you might be able to work harder. I know this question sounds stupid...it makes more sense in my head and I maybe havent been eloquent enough

    • @emyice869
      @emyice869 5 лет назад +1

meesa magill Honestly I am thinking this well. From what I have learned I just believed it has to do with the persons metabolism, ect. However if you are ‘more fit’ it will take harder exercises to burn the same amount of calories as less fit people doing ‘easier exercises’- meaning overtime you build a tolerance to exercises so you will have to find harder ones that fit your level of fitness. If that makes sense? This is just from what I have learned so far, hope this helps 😄

Tomorrow I’m starting your 90 day challenge. I’m not going to worry about macros as much - focusing mainly on calories and protein! Thanks for the great info! #sortinghatsquad

Th representation of teacher feelings is soooo accurate! Can't stress enough how many kids actually behave like this and get on your nerves. Of course a lot of them are really nice, just behave like goofballs to get attention. Great video as always. #sortinghatsquad

    Hey Jordan
I have been watching all your videos lately after finding you on instagram. I feel like I used to be obsessed with eating perfectly "healthy" so much that I restricted myself and cut out all types of foods from my diet. I lost a lot of weight because of it but as soon as I was back in an environment where those foods were present, I binged often and in secret and ended up gaining a significant amount back. Now, trying to lose again I want to do so in a way that is sustainable for the rest of my life. I really like your approach of trying your best to eat healthy foods, but also allowing not so healthy foods in the spirit of life in a way that can one can still reach their goals. Although as of right now I'm a short term follower and subscriber, I am really enjoying your content and feeling relieved due to the fact that I don't need to cut out or be afraid of all these foods in addition to the scale. #sortinghatsquad

Just finished my first month following your concept of dieting for a time period and then having a week at maintenance. My diet compliance went way up because I knew I would have the wiggle room during maintenance week to indulge any cravings. Even though I have been at this for years and seen great progress and success, your way of delivery the information is extremely helpful and easy to understand. Can't wait for the big mac video! #sortinghatsquad

You've changed my life in so many ways you can't imagine. 😍
All the trainers and coaches I had before destroyed my view about food till now. You put it back in the right light. For years I struggeled with fat loss and finally with your motivating words I have the feeling that I can do it. Started 1 week ago and lost 3kg till now. Love you 🙌 Sorry for my bad English. Greetings from Germany 😊 #sortinghatsquat
