Letting Go from Illusions by Richard Bach.
Once there lived a village of creatures along the bottom of a great crystal river. The current of the river swept silently over them all -- young and old, rich and poor, good and evil -- the current going its own way, knowing only its own crystal self.
Each creature in its own manner clung tightly to the twigs and rocks of the river bottom, for clinging was their way of life, and resisting the current was what each had learned from birth.
But one creature said at last, "I am tired of clinging. Though I cannot see it with my eyes, I trust that the current knows where it is going. I shall let go, and let it take me where it will. Clinging, I shall die of boredom."
The other creatures laughed and said, "Fool! Let go, and that current you worship will throw you tumbled and smashed against the rocks, and you will die quicker than boredom!"
But the one heeded them not, and taking a breath did let go, and at once was tumbled and smashed by the current across the rocks.
Yet in time, as the creature refused to cling again, the current lifted him free from the bottom, and he was bruised and hurt no more.
And the creatures downstream, to whom he was a stranger, cried, "See a miracle! A creature like ourselves, yet he flies! See the messiah, come to save us all!"
And the one carried in the current said, "I am no more messiah than you. The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare let go. Our true work is this voyage, this adventure."
      Love to you Paddy, excellent!!!

Thank you so much for making this video clip. Hatyai is my hometown. I left Hatyai to attend a four-year college in Chonburi in 1996. I’ve lived in the USA for 21 years now. It’s almost 16 years since I haven’t gone back to visit Haityai. I’m so proud of my hometown, Haiyai. I had a peaceful, happy childhood life and many good memories there. I agree with you for all of those reasons you explained why you love Hatyai so much. I’m so excited to go back to see my hometown soon. Thanks again for the good post! 😇🙏❤

I can remember on my cycle trip going from Satun ferry terminal to Hat Yai in the one day. A couple punctured tubes, busy highways, and a storm kept me from reaching Hat Yai until about 7pm after a 10-hour day in the saddle. I fell in love with the place too though, ended up spending a few days walking around the temples and eating at the 33 Buffet... ahhh the things you remember about travel - stuffing yourself with ice cream after a hit day.
    Take care mate!

Hat Yai is not walkable at all, unless you live right in the small downtown area. It's also insanely humid and it rains a lot - my body is not acclimated to it in the least bit, and I have lived here for two years already! I sweat continuously all day to the point where it's really difficult to concentrate on anything.... The mountains in the North (Chiang Rai area) are way nicer.

This was your best video yet, really getting into your solo groove, loving it! Paddy with corn running down his face, "Whyfor no light number?" 🤣🤣🤣 AFter watching this we have decided we MUST to get to Hat Yai again...the last time we were there Kate spent the whole time in bed at the hotel recovering from Dengue so the next trip has GOT to be an improvement for her 🤣🤣🤙😎🙏

Mr. Paddy, make that 101 subscribers, stud. I like your style. You're casual, and you explain what "we" are going to do next. That brings people in. "Then I'll take you to dinner," etc. We realize we won't be "eating, " per se, but the gesture sounds friendly, warm, and inviting. Keep it up. You're on to something good here, stud. --Jack, Pasadena, CA

Omg Paddy I took a few weeks off RUclips to revise for some exams and your channels blown up! I was last here watching you with only 2,000 others and you were talking about how you were going to try and grow the channel. Well done!! You did it!! Can’t wait to see you grow even further :))

That breakfast alone makes me want to go there. I may even choose this city over Bangkok!

WOW.... now that’s what I call a proper steak. Was looking forward to hearing the food review and all those individual pots of things with the steak. Looked an awesome province. 👍

Paddy. love your travels and the glimpses of Thailand.... they are fantastic in my opinion especially now as i am stuck at home during this pandemic. Am extending invitation to come down to Penang, KL & the rest of Malaysia for yr break once we open up.
