- Today we drop the van ahead to the spot, where we wanted to moor and walk back along the canal to the boat, once we're back we cruise further down the Worcester & Birmingham canal, cruising through the village of Alvechurch, before making our way to the mooring, or so we thought. But. Turns out, there just so happened to be canal bank repair works going on in the exact spot we wanted to moor, causing a big problem...

What an unexpected adventure! Loved seeing the kingfisher. Your dad's expressions are priceless!
Thank you 😊 yep you never know what's going to happen living on a narrowboat! Glad you enjoyed 😉
Great to see this bit of canal again josh and thanks for the moving aerial footage crossing the dam 👍 David and Ruth❤
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 👀.
Recognise the bridge Josh, where we picked dad up 😊
Your vlogs just keep getting better! Life on a boat is hard especially this weather ☔️
Drone footage appreciated and music 🎶 👏
Thanks Sue glad you loved the vlog. Sending hugs 🫂 to you and Tim xx
So many landslides Josh and on the railways too. You were so brave you and Diane walking back along the towpath round the obstructions and through the mud and never appeared to slip. Must be costing a fortune to repair all these slips. Please let it stop raining soon. Are you going right down Tardibigge locks? That’s a lot to do. Looking forward to next lovely scenery shots. Hope your cold gets better soon Josh. 😷
We are doing all Tardebigge locks but not all at once Marilyn 😊
Looked a bit cold and wet again 😢let's hope the sunny weather will be here soon 😊
We are still waiting for the sunny weather Chris. Fingers crossed 🤞 it's soon.
Love grumpy dad 😂 great episode thanks guys
It wouldn't be Andy if he wasn't grumpy lol 😂.
Hello Taylor family, just found your channel and have subscribed.
Myself, my wife and two good friends are picking up a 60ft NB from Alvechurch for a week in June. Intending to go up to the BCN and have a couple of days in Birmingham. Is it safe to moor up at Gas street basin.
Enjoy your drone footage, have just brought a dji mini 3 pro, still getting to grips with flying it.
I was based at RAF St Mawgan (retired 17yrs now) I used to run the Sea Angling Club and we fished most of our matches against other Stations out of Ilfracombe, with a skipper called Paul Barbary.
I now live with my family in St Austell and have a small fishing boat moored at Fowey.
If your ever down this way look us up.
Looking forward to catching up on your many other vlogs. Gary.
