14:21 "we need to eat some food" Bro this is an underated statement. So important to have a decent meal before playing. Every little annoying mistake gets multiplied by 10 if youre hangry!
The little talk @4m 35s around the basket, thats just nice, everyone does it, one hanging, one holding their putters, one texting girlfriend/wife, one fixing the order of the discs, so feels like a bit kept which could have been deleted. ;)
Coming off an injury i would expect there to be some adjusting and getting used to the pressure again. I do agree that a lot of these young dudes actually practice. Ive played emerald and ironwood and as a 913 rated player(been playing almost 1 year) im upset if im not -7 at emerald and -13 or -14 at ironwood bc its just distance with no obstacles. When i went and played bigger more challenging courses at the tournament, i felt like i should never go back to emerald again unless it was a last resort to hang with feiends bc there is no challenge to it and wont help my play. I have my own basket for putting.
This is not meant to be negative criticism, but I got the impression from your videos that your off-season training mostly consisted of playing that local easy open field course. I might be wrong, but that does not seem like the optimal preparation for succeeding on tour? I know you have other things going on as well which is totally respectable.
As an addition I'd add Simon Lizotte into the discussion. He has openly talked about how little he has practiced during off-season and then he's writing long Instagram paragraph about how something is feeling off. My thought is that it shouldn't come as a surprise for him that he isn't succeeding with that preparation...
One thing to keep in mind is that Drew was injured last season and was still recovering during the off-season. He's only now able to throw touch forehands. A lot of these pros are so worn down by the off season that they spend a lot of time recovering, but still want to play lightly so they don't lose as much in that time. I think Drew was in that situation. 🙂
@@NickCarroll I absolutely get Drew in the sense that he was injured. But comparing to for example Niklas Anttila that has been training all winter 6-7 times a week in indoor facilities doing throwing, putting and gym the mindset is completely different to many other pros that aren't making it right now. If one has a big money contract, practise shouldn't always be fun and extremely motivating.
Disc golf and nerves never work. I think you both were in a position of anticipation for the tourney, drew after injury, Anthony being at a elite + event.. I think you will both settle out but it’s early
You think it's ever an idea that because you use to play in a higher bracket you stop trying so hard? All the best who don't make it don't because the drive isn't there as much?

It’s like the Space Jam monsters stole Drew’s powers

Bodanza: airballs putt
Drew: "Do you need glasses?"

Looks like you are missing a couple of beers. Just a a fun casual round. Got to admire that both of you are out there after Waco. Keep grinding.
I might be able to keep up with you guys it the trees stay in the way lol😂
“Bogey, bogey, bogey to finish to miss by 1, that’s crazy”
How???? I did that my last tourney and dropped like 20+ in position lol
Sorry not trying to be a butthole, love both you guys a ton and the content, that comment was just silly to me
At least you're having fun

Great video. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing know and you got big hit. The Losers Bracket. Great brand.

I'm in on this. The boys wanting to win did what the pros slacked on.
