Such a small grave for such a great musician!!!! A beautiful video and a great dedication. Your hordes will stay true and we will always love you. Rest in peace Tommy.
It was. And very moving, too. I am not ashamed to say it. For me it was sort of a dream coming true, visiting him, but with that, there also was a deep sadness. There was one other really incredible thing that happened to me in Stockholm, in regards to Quorthon and Bathory... but I will talk about it at due time. Thanks for stepping by!
We all look upto you Ace.. and Thank you for posting this brother. I shed a tear in his memory. He died 3 years after I was born but coming to know of his legacy all these years it would mean so much for me to visit his grave and pay respect as well.Glad you made the trip and all the glory to the hordes!!
His music always brings me back spiritually to my childhood years when my grandmas used to read some folklore tales for me before falling asleep. Years passed and I fell in love with black (and pagan, folk, atmospheric, whatever) metal. Then I started to connect the dots and I realized that the same feeling I was getting when I was listening to the old tales is very similar to the feeling that I get when listening to black metal. Bathory is one of these artists whose music invokes this feeling in its full power. I can only imagine what it feels to be there. And I know that he would be proud of you and your music which has taken so much inspiration from him. Your album 'Odes' is like a musical rebirth of his spirit - like a something he would do if he decided to continue the 'Nordland' albums. Keep this spirit alive! (I know you will.)
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Indeed, Black Metal has its roots in our heritage, and the feeling of ancient European folklore tales and music has so much in common with Black Metal, feeling-wise. It's a genre that keeps our identity and roots alive, the way I see it! Thank you so much for your compliments, and rest assured we do not plan to stop making music anytime soon. We just published the new record yesterday, do give it a listen! Hails!
Am again watch this video,Quorthon is 1 year old from me..and first album is Twilight of the Gods..this album is enter in Bathory opus..in next few days found Under the Sign,Hammerheart,Blood Fire Death and later Blood on Ice..on cassete..but now on cd..have colection..and your video visit Quorthon grave is heart touching ..and how you is dress..in full black with Bathory shirt..respekt for YOU BRO..REALLY..
This is so beautiful and a fine tribute. It is said that a man is never truly gone while his name is spoken and remembered, especially with honor. Quorthon is remembered for always, forevermore.
You just earned yourself a new subscriber. Hard to believe that next year, he’ll have been gone for 20 years. But just like Motörhead, his memory shall never die. 🤘🏻
Hello, I found your band through a youtube comment on a video about Bathory. They sugested to listen to your album si vis pacem, para bellum. I listened a bit on youtube and got hooked, and I continued listening it on your spotify. Just want to say that your music are amazing. They really capture the same soul as Bathory. Hopefully you'll keep making more music in years to come, because you've earned yourself a fan. P.S Greetings from Indonesia.
Hej! I am really pleased to read this. Thank you so much. It really means a lot. I can tell you that all the rest of the albums (which are now on Bandcamp and here on YT) will be uploaded to Spotify soon. The first album will be taken down, remastered, and then reuploaded on Spotify. We are working on new albums too, so they will come, stay tuned for them. Take care, and Hails! - Erymanthon
@apocalypseofficial6567 like how much days did you stayed? do you know any cheap hotel near the graveyard? and some suggestion other to visit the graveyard like some place he used to vist (record store, ecc) anyway from the video I ve seen you flee from Torino, sono italiano quindi puoi rispondermi anche così ahahah, cover fantastiche e che sicuramente quorthon avrebbe apprezzato
@@dzhoel Hahahaha okay. Ps. Grazie mille per i complimenti!
This is a great tribute, and respect to your acknowledgment of him, but why post it on RUclips? I visited his grave 10 years ago, when the thought of documenting it to upload to the public was completely absurd. No need to share what is best left as a private experience.
I respect your point of view, and honestly I wasn’t entirely sure whether I wanted to upload this or not. I published this in the end because this project was born as a Bathory tribute project. I guess it is just a way to say "I was there", I brought my CD's as a tribute which I planned for years, and the words I used in this video are really not things that I haven't said before. But I didn't really document the whole thing, there is just one picture of me by his grave. I took my time there and that was a private moment that no one will ever see, it was my time with him. That will just stay within me. Thanks for the comment and for stepping by. - Erymanthon
@@apocalypseofficial6567 I am really grateful you posted your visit, because not many of us are able to travel to Stockholm to see his final resting place and stay with him for some time.. Thank you so much for taking us there!!! Your moving words touched my heart deeply.

Amazing. I never really got into Bathory but I can absolutely appreciate and understand your passion for it. Must have been a very unique experience.

A fine video.
