Triforce has never had an official release schedule, they release when they can, it's just that they've had a couple of decent runs at a semi regular release
A Thermomix isn't quite as he explained it, having used a few in professional kitchens. It's basically a blender that heats, and you can input the temperature you want + timer for it's blending. It's great for sauces and oils, but sadly doesn't quite do the lot of things he goes on about. Wish it did, would be great.
Center parcs must be the the most excruciatingly dull experience without your own children. Regardless of how much it costs, being rammed into a penned off little bit of woodland with thousands of other members of the British public sounds like a fresh hell
I love Pflax as a literal Dota host and commentator being weirded out by hippies celebrating mud. Brother normal people see YOU as the weird mud people shouting at PCs and talking gibberish about your ults.
Nah this is a new level, especially in the UK where we don't have cults- 1/4 of the adults in that earth warehouse will be on the sex offfenders register
I was relistening to old triforce podcasts and this started playing and i honestly didn’t realize it was new until they started talking about palworld.
Warner Bros patented the nemesis system, not copyrighted it. Similar to how Bandaid Namco patented the concept of having a mini game playable during the loading screen of another game (then almost never used it for the life of the patent, and it finally expired after SSDs made loading screens too quick to matter anyways). Patents last for ~20 years, whereas copyrights last for an absurdly long amount of time, something like the life of the author + 95 years. Patents are intended to be used for inventions/systems, whereas copyrights are for "creative works." When it comes to video games, neither fits perfectly, so we end up in weird situations like this where the US Patent & Trademark Office occasionally grants a patent for a "gaming system," but most of the time, developers don't even bother trying to get one. Copyright would protect their specific game from being duplicated, but would not protect the general gameplay systems (and imo, this stuff should never be patentable, or no one would ever be able to build upon good ideas from games of the past). Source: studied IP law in law school.
I have had anger management problems for basically my entire life, and I have to say that my biggest breakthrough was realizing that no, anger was not how I just safely vent and get it out of my system. Anger fuels more anger, whether you have a supposed safe space for it or not. I have no doubt that smash-up rooms may be cathartic for a few minutes, but longterm they'll do nothing good and a lot of bad.
the tech flax is talking about: the computer science field basically in the last 6 months shifted their predictions from 30 years down to 2-5. pretty scary
The AI art issues have several factors that make it especially heinous to me, two of which is how it’s a skill-less mess of other artists work mashed together, and it’s taking away opportunities from the artists out there who have the skill and passion for this CREATIVE (boldened because a computer is not creative, it’s a copier) line of work. Still, I’m glad they discussed the topic even if they don’t have as extreme of a reaction as I do. AI is the future for a lot of things, but it will never replace a human’s capacity for passion and creativity.
I don't think that AI could 100% replace anything especially artists and designers. it could be used as a tool by artists to make their job easier in cases like AAA title production it is feels like they need something like this to be able to make better games and make them more profitable.
I think they're just synonyms, the English vs American English usage. But it does seem in America its broiled for an above heat source (largely radiation) and grilled for a below heat source (largely conduction). In the UK our grills (oven-grills) have heated elements above the food, though if you had an outside grill, like for a BBQ, obviously in that the heat typically comes from below. We use the term grilling for both, as seen in common parlance such as "give that a few more minutes UNDER the grill" and "pop a couple more burgers ON the grill for us mate".
In the UK they all have different names. What Americans call a broiler is called a grill in the UK, i.e. heat from above. What Americans call a grill, i.e. heat from below, is called a BBQ in the UK.
Just incase anybody doesn't know, there's a mailbag episode that came out between this one and #275. It's on their spotify. This channel has been an absolute mess since the new years.
Controversial opinion but I think AI art as a concept is necessarily fucking miserable and I will never be able to stomach it as part of a world I want to live in.
It's one legitimate use case is shitposts. I just watched a video of a compilation of ai images of wizards terrorizing fast food joints. There is no loss from that since no one would bother to do that let alone pay for it. Executives however see it as a way to cut costs which is a gross concept. Society has forgotten why it exists
19:00 Ever occurred to these jugging champs that some mischief was afoot? That those irn-bru weren't all for own consumption? 45:00 Any episode that mentione EverQuest is a good episode.. And this might've been the first one 😅 48:00 Oh god.. Pflax is right.. Humanity is marching straight into a future where we become the pets of AI.. We're evolving to 😱 .. FURRIES
thats what i was thinking too, im sure most artists in the office wouldnt be super happy to hear lewis talk about ai art like a new revolution considering its robbing people of jobs
The issue with AI generated content is that its actively just stealing artists content without their consent and profiting off of it. It is blatant exploitation and all its doing is causing issues in virtually every field. The accusations against palworld are about how close the models and designs are to the intellectual property its based on. If you've seen pretty much any of the designs theres a degree of concern of whether or not they've plagiarized but its mostly just uninspired riding of coattails. In addition to this, the unfortunate reality is that whether or not something is plagiarized the defense will always be "who cares, I like it"
Very weird take from Lewis on AI considering the Yogscast pretty much only do content creation and game publishing. Both things which are tightly intertwined with both the creative process of humans and employing said people. Do you really think the problem will be contained to just images? The advances in its abilities accelerated a lot quicker than people thought. How long until the same can be done both with game generation and video creation? Young people in your generation grew up on mtv, then came the internet and now ticktock. The future generation will not have any problem looking at hours and hours of AI-videos of "almost BlueXephos" and "pretty much Honeydew". What are you working as then, and what are your friends and employees doing? Robots were supposed to automate monotonous boring tasks. Not make fantasy and play worse than what was generated by a few words.
I also found it surprising. Honestly the tech is already pretty much there. I've seen a few creators already complaining about AI generated content on youtube. Particularly science communicators.
@@frodolon As far as I know, yes. Point being it's already possible to make AI video content and it's already on the platform. There's not really anything stopping anyone feeding the lads voices to AI, getting it to read a script and uploading fake Triforce episodes. Any of their podcasts really. It's not a massive leap from there to entirely fake yogs content as most of it is just them talking over game footage.
The timing of this episode's release with the news that AI is getting regulated because Taylor Swift had deepfakes done of her is ironic and kinda beautiful.
Doesn't Lewis employ an entire art team? Would he replace them with AI if he could, or does he only keep them on because he likes them as people, because to me it seems he doesn't value what artists do all that much.
Pyrion surprised me very positively in this episode ❤ especially in the A.I. Art and Palworld segment of the podcast 😊 on the other hand Lewis disappointed me heavily… Especially he Should know that one person can move a lot of other people… Thinking about jingle jam and stuff PS: You should really rewatch the Star Trek episodes of Geordie and the engineer woman… Finding someone’s appearance attractive is not Perving, being nice to them isn’t either and he had to make this interactive holo version off her because of an emergency on the ship 🤦♂️
I don't even know what day this is supposed to come out anymore but better late than never.
Right? I thought it came out on Thursday's? A week off, then release on a Saturday? Alright, I guess
There's an extra mailbag on spotify
Triforce has never had an official release schedule, they release when they can, it's just that they've had a couple of decent runs at a semi regular release
Lewis at the Earth Ceremony with his date has some huge Mark Corrigan at Rainbow Rhythms energy 😂😂
I imagine him dancing like Mark when he enters the color red in that episode 😂
Lewis never finishing his thoughts on the thermomix killed me, I was genuinely interested
It’s like sips goal of the podcast is to swap topics as much as possible 😭

So it's finally Wednesday in the UK.
@ComputerGameAmbience Jocking3 meant it as a joke since they usually upload these on Wednesday.

Pflax doesn't pretend dota games are some sort of spiritual experience.
Your comparison is as braindead as the people running the earth circle lmao
that earth ritual sound s like the most interesting bout of MPI ive ever heard of
Saturday is when I need this the most.
Sips, it wasn’t Geordie that was perving on Diana Troy, it was Reg Barclay… the guy who played Murdock on the A-Team.
I was relistening to old triforce podcasts and this started playing and i honestly didn’t realize it was new until they started talking about palworld.
SATERDAY NIGHT TRIFORCE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Can't wait for Lewis to find out about Kyle Walker.
on a Saturday? Well I'll take it
In this episode, Pyrion and the Gang discover the inherent contradictions of capitalism

You guys are the best!!!
Good day fellas

Remember when they released a Triforce on a Thursday for the first time and it was like “WHATTT?”
"Everybody's playing Palworld" he says, as I am playing Palworld.
Where is mailbag 28? It's been on iTunes since the 24th...
pfft, sounds like lewis missed a chance or 2 to become a real wizard!
I don't think that AI could 100% replace anything especially artists and designers. it could be used as a tool by artists to make their job easier in cases like AAA title production it is feels like they need something like this to be able to make better games and make them more profitable.
Just wait till they hear about Copse' and Stands
It feels like it's been so long lol
That was amazing. Thanks gents 😂😛😎 more complaining!
A broiler heats from the top, a grill heats from the bottom.
The grill is the heating element at the top

So that's why there was no Triforce last week.
Are we gonna get the mailbag on RUclips soon
just an FYI, the spotify version of this episode is an older podcast, you have uploaded the wrong one there i believe
On a Saturday? What where who when
I love ai art and talks on the topic. Another fantastic episode boys!
You guys never uploaded the Triforce Mailbag #28 BTW, which is up on the patreon since last week.

Art in general is wack! Mona Lisa is worth $5 to me. Just a hag smiling at you. Money laundering at it’s finest.

a deep misunderstanding of AI art theft by the lads, get your artists on for an episode and have them explain it to you and discuss.

Particularly as he employs several full time artists to boot. Perhaps he should run his weirdo take about AI art past Nina
fuck pal world 😂
A bit of a bad take on A.I generation from Lewis, if the future is just A.I slop, it's very bleak indeed.
The earth festival is an obvious example of why people need actual religion in their life and not bullshit
