WrestleMania 2000 is such a gem, that and Superstars are the go-to for portable Gameboy wrestling fun. So cool how in-depth you go with these games. Loved this retrospective.
I loved WWF wrestlemania 2000 for Gameboy color when I bought it new when the game came out. For a Gameboy color wrestling game, this is the only one you need.
Yeah, crazy how good that pedigree looked for a gbc game. Like he kicked him in the midsection & everything. I definitely gotta play it & see all of the finishers.
The controls for wwf attitude for gbc is the same as wwf war zone for gameboy. The other difference is to do finishers you wait until you get a flashing white dot. Grapple hold select and press A.
I could of done with this information a few weeks back haha! I see you commented on another thing down below regarding the GBA games, got any tips before I dive into them?
@@the16bitprick36 Yes for the GBA WWF games, go to gamefaqs.com to read up on the controls for the 3 games so you will have a better time playing them. The road to WrestleMania X8 and WWE survivor series have digitized looking wrestlers and in those games you can do a superplex after whipping a wrestler into the corner turnbuckle.

I'm sure the theme music made me laugh because they where very restricted with how they could get them In, eddie guerreros in particular had me decked. Looking forward to giving them a bash though

Its such a damn shame that these all could have been great handheld games if they had just put a little bit of effort in.. they should have all just been based on wwf superstars. obviously with updated gameplay, graphics, roster, etc.
Hi mate, I've seen both your comments so I'll reply to the other one here too. I completely agree, superstars on the og game boy was alright, probably the best out of the lot if I remember correctly. It would have been good to have that updated in color with just an updated roster as you said. As far as the wwf games on the gba, that is coming, I've played through them and got some pointers written down, things have gotten in the way and I'm working on a few other videos so it will come eventually. I thought all 3 were decent.. I hated the console ports of attitude but the color port was nice.. I liked the storyline for 2000 but I felt it should have been called something else.. and betrayal coulda been better but it wasn't a bad game either..
@@the16bitprick36 there was going to be a championship path in No mercy 64 where you would use a character you created in the gbc. If you beat it you could play as that character on the N64. It's still in the game but it is dummied out.

@@the16bitprick36 they considered making road to wrestlemania x8 compatible with wrestlemania x8 on GameCube but it was scrapped because they didn't have any reason to actually put the concept into action since they had no plan other than adding compatibility.

I actually liked the idea of betrayal.. But they could have done so much better.. The story mode for the game boy version of 2000 was pretty good..

how did i miss this one, man i remember thinking 2000 was going to be like 50% of the version for n64 how deadly wrong i was.
Its an easy assumption to make when your younger, done it myself with a few games back then.
